"The Starrett House was a wonderful surprise. I felt like I was living in a museum instead of simple bed and breakfast. The accommodations were clean and comfortable and contained everything I needed. My breakfast was definitely on the gourmet side and I enjoyed sitting in the formal dining room feeling like I was a guest of the family who built the home. If you can’t spend the night, tours of the home are available and high tea events are offered. I was originally looking for a budget motel for my Port Townsend trip but then came across the Starrett House. The price was a bit more than a motel but the value of the fabulous breakfast and the ambiance of the property justified the splurge. The location is just up the hill from the historic shopping district and I was able to walk to the ferry, shops, and several eclectic dining options. If you’re coming to Port Townsend, skip the motels and treat yourself to an experience where you’ll be treated like a guest instead of a customer. "

"We very much enjoyed our stay here. The water view is amazing and the cabin is in a quiet location very close to Fort Flagler- an excellent area for hiking and exploring. The place is clean and roomy and well stocked and we were able to buy grocery items at the Nordland store. The furnishings are comfy and even though it feels remote, we still had good wifi and television, although there are too many outdoor activities and games provided here to care about that! Would definitely recommend this vacation rental and we plan to come back."
