"The house is amazing and exactly as the pictures described it. It is a beautiful villa about 5 min walk from the main Boudhha road and about 10 minutes walk from Budhha stupa. We booked it for family stay and some pre-wedding ceremonies and had to get permission from the host for the same. Initially we had trouble connecting with the host (property manager - based out of a different country). "This is a lovely new hotel in Kathmandu. Spotless rooms and attractively maintained exterior and interior. Nothing to complain about and only good things to say. When the power went out several times, as it is prone to do occasionally in Kathmandu, the generator kicked in immediately. Heater worked well, for the cool nights. Staff went out of their way to be helpful. Food at breakfast and dinner was great. So was the coffee. I will stay here again."

"Well placed in the Thamel area of Kathmandu to walk to most of the major tourist sites. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Excellent free buffet breakfast. Free storage for your suitcases when you head off trekking. Lovely garden oasis with waterfall that has a full restaurant and bar. What's not to like? Stayed here on three separate occasions during my 3 weeks in Nepal. Highly recommended."

"I had a very good stay at Baber Mahal Vilas. The hotel is safe and is centrally located in Kathmandu. The staff are very kind and helpful. The facility has very good restaurants. Getting around is straightforward and taxis are relatively cheap. I expect I will stay there again when I plan to visit Kathmandu in the spring of 2025. "

"I have stayed at Jay Suites on two occasions and will definitely stay again if I return to Kathmandu. The owner and all staff were excellent, everything worked, and it was decent value for the money. You might find a room for a bit cheaper but will there be hot water, working AC, eorking remote control, elevator, in-room fridge, free water, good breakfast, etc? You get that and more at Jay Suites."
