The setting was very peaceful. We enjoyed sitting on the porch and drinking coffee in the mornings and enjoyed meals there, too. The house is centrally located to Jasper, Boxley Valley and Ponca. We would definitely stay here again.
The location was perfect for our group, we rode over 1100 miles on our motorcycles, everyday and every direction, except for 1 rain day, but with puzzles for the girls, and cards for the guys a rain day was even very comy and enjoyable. Can't say enough about the place, not to mention the great back deck to enjoy your morning coffee with a beautiful sunrise. All accomadations provided also spot on. Very clean and inviting. we'll definately be back again next year!!
We came from MN to ride our side by sides in the Ozarks! We had a blast! We loved coming back to the house after a long day riding to hang out! Our dog loved the big open backyard too!
Incredibly clean and up to date property, friendly and welcoming hosts!
Things could not have been better with our stay at the rental, the property is very spacious and comfortable, the host is friendly and responsive. If you are planning a trip to this area look no further, this property is the one to book! We've been home less than a week and already talking about going back!
We love everything about this house. It’s big, warm, comfortable, fully equipped, with beautiful backyard, and great location. It will be our first choice next visit.
Listing is accurate, located in remote area that is easily accessed by HWY 74. House was clean, comfortable and quiet. Plenty of parking for two trucks with motorcycle trailers. Great view from large backyard, all amenities are in great condition with plenty of kitchen/bathroom necessities. Highly recommend for others and will most likely stay again.
Our family of six adults and two dogs thoroughly enjoyed our three-night stay at this perfectly situated house. Everything was clean, check-in was easy, and it had all the amenities we need for a good stay - a full kitchen of cooking equipment, nice grill, smart tv, lots of room, and a large yard. All the bluebirds flitting around were just icing on the cake.
We hiked Twin Falls and Lost Valley. Both lived up to the hype and were easily accessible. We have a list of other trails for our next visit.
My wife and I stayed here for 8 nights while climbing at Horseshoe Canyon Ranch. It was the perfect base camp for us! HCR is only 1.4 miles away. We had 2 rain days and The Bluebird House was in a great location for us to enjoy other activities as well. The house had everything we needed and more, and it was VERY spacious. We enjoyed a campfire a couple of nights and there were even horseshoe pits! If we go back to that area we will definitely stay there again!
Perfect cabin for weekend climbing in HCR and floating the Buffalo. Centrally located between HCR and Jasper. Less than 10 min to either. The Supermarket in Jasper had everything we needed, making for a super easy trip. Peaceful back porch with nice views.
The Blue Bird was fantastic. Our family of five with 3 teenagers and a dog spent the weekend in this house and ranged from the Ozark Grand Canyon and dinner at the Cliff House to Hiking in Compton and playing in the Buffalo in between.
The house was perfectly placed for easy access to everything in Newton County. It was also clean and comfortable. Check-in Friday night was easy. We settled in and streamed a movie with kids before going to sleep. Woke up refreshed and ready to tackle an active day.
Kitchen was well stocked with essentials and we started our day with home cooked Breakfast before we got outside. We saw the sights, ate lunch at the Low Gap Café, and hiked from Steele Creek to Ponca, played in the Buffalo, and then hiked back. From there we drove to the Cliff House to check out the views and eat again! We then enjoyed another streaming movie and went to bed exhausted and happy!
Some highlights:
The kids LOVED the basement bedroom. Dark and cold for great sleeping, but they also enjoyed just hanging out down there.
Communication with Jake was very easy. He was extremely responsive and helpful in dealing with the small questions we had.
Comfy and spacious cabin nestled in the best spot between Ponca and Jasper. 10-15 minutes away from Steele Creek and Boxley Valley made it the perfect location.
We are in the Jasper area fairly frequently to climb, and we loved our stay here! So spacious, clean, and well appointed! Beautiful deck to watch the sunrise while drinking coffee. We’ll stay here as item as possible!
The house was great! Just as described! Very spacious. My family and I stayed there during a climbing trip at Horseshoe Canyon Ranch. The location was great! About as close as it is possible to get unless you stay on site!
We used this house as our central location for 4x4 off roading and motorcycle adventures, 9n and off road. It is a lovely home. The back decks is way nicer than the pics.
3 couples riding motorcycles (Harleys). Enjoyed every bit of our stay. The house and location was great. All amenities you could want or need. Theres only 1 thing that i would change , and thats if we could stay a few more days. Thanks guys, we had a blast.
The Bluebird House was a perfect property for our Buffalo River Weekend. The house was very spacious and super clean. Would definitely recommend to anyone!
If you are looking for a peaceful place in a beautiful setting in the Ozarks, you can't do better than the Bluebird.
The house was comfortable and clean and had just about everything we needed to stay in, relax, and cook our own meals. The view of the Ozarks off the back deck was amazing with the trees starting to show their fall colors.
We found several restaurants in the area (the Low Gap was an awesome surprise, and since everyone in the area knows it, the wait for a table was pretty long). Jasper, AR had some fun shops to poke around in, and there are spectacular scenic drives you can make short day trips out of.
The hosts were responsive, helpful and friendly.
We hope to be back and stay there again.
Thanks!
Beautiful, clean and such a peaceful place. Close to hiking trails, elk watching and buffalo river. Beautiful part of Arkansas with so many things to do. Jake was very responsive. Plus it’s pet friendly. We will definitely be back
This house was centrally located for all the best motorcycle roads in the Ozarks. The house has everything that anyone would need. The garage for the bikes was a big plus along with the large deck for relaxing after a day of riding. This was a great find and I would certainly stay here again, would also be a good place for a family getaway, private and little traffic other than the locals.
What an awesome house. The location is perfect -between Jasper and Ponca. If you want a quiet place - this is it. Beautiful inside and out. Sunrises, moon rises, star gazing, birds and flowers. The house has everything you need for your weekend getaway. It was super clean, had all the amenities with even a few extras for your stay that made it a lot of fun. The deck was perfect for sitting and enjoying the peacefulness of the backroads of Arkansas. Very close to a lot of things for your enjoyment or perfect to just sit and relax enjoying the house itself. Hosts were awesome. We will definitely be back and highly recommend staying here.
