"The staff were warm, attentive and helpful. This was especially important for me because it was our first time traveling to Valencia Spain. I was there with my family to run the Valencia marathon. On the day of the race, they prepared a breakfast buffet early to cater to the needs of the runners. I was be happy about that. Very happy with Bartos. "

"The check in was fabulous and we had a lovely room (Room 1) that actually has a kettle! We had a terrace with views of Xativa Castle and also the town and valley, all framed by pine and cypress trees. Deb had injured her knee so was able to sit on the terrace, read her book and chill as we watched the sunset. "If our room in this hotel is typical then they are in urgent need of attention. The bed was as hard as rock, half the motorised window blinds did not work (one was also ripped and another had hanging cables where the motor had been removed), the outer light-proof shutters were held open by wooden wedges. On the plus side the bar/restaurant is reasonably welcoming and the food was good."

"We had a very comfortable stay en route to the South of Spain. The room was large- beds were comfy and there was an amazing bathroom. Extras provided such as shower gel and combs! Large fluffy towels. We didn’t use the restaurant but there was one! Great stay and reasonable rates. Would recommend for a stop over as it is really close to the motorway. "

"After a 4 night stay in busy Valencia we retired to this beautiful Villa in the hills above the town of Xativa for some R&R. The photos don’t do the property justice - from being welcomed at the gate to being given a detailed tour of the property and how everything worked. "Clean and convenient location, close to bars, restaurants and castle. Friendly and helpful host. Could be quite noisy from people passing outside and also people banging doors inside. Shared bathroom was cleaned every day and clean towels were provided on arrival but we were there for 3 nights and no change of towels. "

"A beautiful property in the middle of nowhere! It was so relaxing and quiet and having the pool was great! The restaurant wasn't open but they made us a 3 course meal on our 1st night as well as hiving us some recommendations for local restaurants. The staff are there/around but not in your face and the breakfast was lovely - a croissant, fruit, juice and your choice of a breakfast sandwich! Just enough. "

"Con ma comodidad de estar como en casa. Tiene de todo. La bañera hidromasaje en la habitación es una pasada y las vistas inmejorables! Se ve todo Alcalá del Júcar con el rio a su alrededor, y está solo a unos 9 minutos de allí. Sitio muy tranquilo. Lo recomiendo!"

"The house was more spartan than I expected from the write-up, almost like camping, but I'm a hiker, so I loved the remote area and I adapt well to whatever circumstances come my way. The owner was helpful. The house needs work on the shower and the kitchen needs to be better equipped especially if there were to be four people occupying the house, which would literally make for a very 'full cabin' - all four would have to sleep together in the loft.
