"We booked in at this hotel since we needed a couple of extra rooms when attending a family wedding. Were not impressed with the check-in desk when we came in at night, and the wifi didn't work. It's only 10-15 minuted from Johri Bazaar, Jal Mahal, and other sightseeing spots, and about a 40 minute drive from Jhalana/ Amagarh reserve. "Everything was amazing! ✨✨✨ The staff, especially Shantanu, couldn't be more helpful. Very good English so easy communication. They responded to our messages and answered our questions very promptly. The location is good and very quiet. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. "Poor service: I booked this room for my 76 yr-old father who was traveling from BC, Canada. (Nov 14, 2022) When he arrived on the property, he asked the manager/owner for use of the bathroom (after his 6-hr car ride) before checking-in. This manager yelled at him to go to some bathroom outside. He was painfully rude and demeaning. "A fantastic historic building set in the middle of a busy market with a roof top terrace to enjoy a sunset drink and views. The matriarch of the house kept a watchful eye over her staff during mealtimes and talked to us about the old family pictures on the walls. The only thing we didn’t like was the pushy receptionist/manager who was always trying to sell us drivers/tours through his own company which we had to pay for by cash. "

"We had an incredible, amazing experience staying at the hotel. The palace transported you into a long ago era and let you experience what it feels like to live as a Maharaja or one of his royal dignitaries. The staff was super friendly and went out of their way to accommodate our every needs. The food was unforgettable. We still talk about our meal experiences at the palace. "Location: very convenient, can walk to Albert hall, city palace, Hawaii mahal etc. Also close to a lot of clothing and accessories shop Comfort: has unlimited hot water which is rare in India at this price point. Has all amenities but toilet does smell like the sewer a bit with cockroach. Environment: has nice rooftop bar with live music, but does get quite loud and room soundproofing is not great. All and all would still recommend it."

"It’s a heritage hotel & has beautiful building /dining area but, reception area & rooms are not upgraded for standard of a 4 star hotel . Also there is the issue of smell & noise due to the location. There were also mosquitoes in the room & bathroom so do ask for all out to be plugged in the room before your check in .also we had to call maintenance to fix the showers as there were no water pressure on the first day of check in . "

"Wonderful 5 star stay at a beautiful property. The homestay is decorated in a Japanese Indian style very peaceful elegant and intentional with big rooms overlooking the green mountain side dotted with temples. The hosts went above and beyond on our stay helping us arrange (last minute) drivers and guides, giving us local recommendations, and even taking us around to their personal spots and introduce us to locals and including us in what felt like the true Jaipur. The chef on site is excellent and can cook up whatever you please. They also have a water filter system to not get sick and everything was very clean and safe. Being outside the city offers a nice break from the noise while still close enough to enjoy. Dr. Vivek is an excellent host, you shouldn’t explore Jaipur with anyone else, Highly recommended!"
