"We loved everything about this property! It has a friendly hostel feel with some very cozy hangout spaces, yoga mats to use, hammocks and a well equipped communal kitchen. The staff were amazing and very helpful. Carlos helped to organize a Sea tour for us at an affordable price. The smoothies were delicious and the sea view room we stayed in was beautiful with a hammock outside. We were a bit hesitant to book at a hostel/hotel as we were travelling with a young child and like some privacy but we all immediately felt at home. Being set back from the main road was also nice as you didn't hear the traffic noise and we slept very well in the peaceful environment. We would definitely return, hopefully soon!! I am going to miss the sunrises from the rooftop deck every morning! "

"This the jewel of the Baja. This resort is amazing! The views for the casitas are amazing, our casita is private had a nice private outside shower, two lounge chairs, and a table with chairs for morning coffee or afternoon margaritas. The staff is friendly and willing to help with anything you need. The beach is PERFECT, not crowded, in fact if we saw 3 other people we were surprised. The food is amazing! This beach is perfect! La Ventana is a great little sleepy village with great food, friendly people and a high number of expats. The drive to La Paz is easy, just look out for the Mexican police leaving La Paz in the afternoon. They’ll try to shake you down for money, all you tell them is “I know I’ll get into trouble and so will you if I pay here. Take me to your station and I’ll gladly pay the ticket.” More than likely he’ll say, “No ticket”, and let you go. All in all a great resort. We’ll be back next year."

"Literally on the beach. Less crowded than neighboring resorts with a very nice beach bar with maybe 8 barstools. FANTASTIC fish tacos. The lady's know how to cook. Clean and fresh safe to east treats. Cold beer. Amazing water and beach. Lots of water sports going on. Peaceful nights sleeping on a comfy bed. Good shower with a jacuzzi and hot water. A nice touch was the five gallon drinking water fountain in the room. Great staff. Cool owner. Chill experience. "

"We had a wonderful stay here. Perfect location, clean, friendly staff, and great food! With paddle boards and snorkel gear included, we could be out on the water as much as I wanted. It was a truly magical experience for some rest, and relaxation. Only challenge was when connecting to a 90 min zoom call, the WiFi didn’t sustain. I was kicked offline multiple times through the call. However, for other online work, it was sufficient enough. Would go back for sure! "

"We had a relaxing and enjoyable stay at Casa Carolina. The location is excellent — in the quieter part of the Ventana Bay Area, closer to El Sargento. It was a half block walk to a nice beach and a half block in the other direction to the main road with restaurants and shops. We were also a short walk to Nomada Organica and Casa Tara, both chic hotels with restaurants. The grounds were beautiful with a very large garden and pool and a spectacular rooftop deck with an ocean view. The bathroom and kitchen were a little dated, but the location and the property exterior areas made this an excellent choice for our family of 4. The separate Moroccan living room space is beautiful and cozy (although our kids took it over and we didn’t get to enjoy it for ourselves very much). Communication with the owner was excellent via text and phone and all our inquiries were answered right away. Overall, this was a great stay."
