If you are interested in renting this property, PLEASE send an inquiry regarding this property with your requested dates BEFORE you send a booking request. This is a small 4 bedroom cottage located directly on the beach. Don't let the outside fool you; this cottage has a very nice interior. The cottage is small with approximately 1500 square feet total with an excellent design to maximize the living space. The main living area is on the 2nd floor where there is a living room, a stocked full kitchen with granite counter tops and two bedrooms and a full bath. The master bedroom has a king size bed and the other a queen size bed. All of the mattresses are Beautyrest Black Nappa Plus hybrid pillow top mattresses each with think mattress pads - which are the best mattresses you will ever sleep on. The living room has a queen sleeper sofa. The living room has a sliding glass door that opens onto a large open deck with a large L-shaped outdoor sofa. There is also an outdoor grill located on the deck. The downstairs area has two queen bedrooms and a full bath. There is a laundry area with a washer and dryer downstairs. There is a separate full kitchen downstairs with a small living room area with another queen sleeper sofa. The downstairs living room area has French glass doors that open to a sitting area with two picnic tables located underneath the deck off of the second floor. As stated above, the upstairs and downstairs space has been designed to maximize the available living space for a small beach front rental cottage which subsequently leaves small areas for available closet space. There is room for parking for 4 vehicles; with one space behind the rear deck of the house and 3 parking spaces in the front of the house. Pets are welcome. Please do not allow pets to be on the furniture/ beds for any reason. If pet hair is on furniture/ bedding, you will be charged an additional $150 cleaning fee.
This property only rents for a 7 day minimum in the months of June and July, during holiday weeks, as well as the week of the Ritz Concourse car show and the week of the Shrimp boat festival. You can always inquiry if less days are desired, which may be possible at times due to other existing reserved dates when less than 7 days are available. Please send an "inquiry" only, not a "booking request" on this property to further discuss availability before sending a booking request if you are requesting less than 7 days during the months of June and July, and/or during a holiday week.

We love this place!
This is our second time staying here and we’ll definitely be back! It’s such a great location. Even on a holiday weekend, the place felt quiet and the beach was not crowded. It was a hot weekend, so the under deck area was a great retreat from the for the kids to play. And the upper deck is great for evenings in the summer. It was so nice to see the beach and sunrise from the deck. Great stay!

Perfect getaway!!
Was staying in town for a wedding and didn’t want to get 4 hotel rooms for family. This was perfect!! Right on beach, not expensive, and had all the amenities you would need. Very clean and inside is very up to date. Owners responded very quickly to any questions we had. 2 minute walk to restaurants and bar.

Fine property, strange experience
The property is very comfortable and a great location. When we arrived, we noticed the door was unlocked and upon closer inspection, realized the sliding (and ONLY) door didn’t have a lock at all. We contacted the owner and were told that the handle was broken 2 days prior, and they “did their best” to replace the handle, but acknowledged that they knew the door wouldn’t lock from the outside. I let them know the door also did not lock from the inside, and they literally told me to look for a stick to jam in the door. Wildly unacceptable, and since the upstairs couldn’t be secured, our choices were to only use the downstairs or not leave the property the entire vacation. A very bizarre experience. The home itself, assuming they fixed the door, is lovely, but the unprofessionalism was truly shocking.

We had a great stay here, the place has everything you need and more.
We had a great stay here, the place has everything you need and more. Plenty of linens and kitchen ware for the whole crowd. The location is wonderful, you can hear and see the ocean from the back sliding doors. There are 2 nice bars/restaurants within a very short walk. When we come back into the area we would love to stay again.

Very nice place for four people to stay on the beach while in Fernandina Beach on business. Great sunrise views. Safe place to walk to nearby park and restaurants. Stable wifi connection. Would stay here again.

A great little find!
Our family and doodles enjoyed this property! The owners supplied many needed items with the house and the large fenced in deck was perfect for dogs. The beds were very comfortable! The house is old- therefore, naturally musty; however, not enough to keep us from coming back!

Wonderful accomodations! Great sunrise view!
Wonderful surprise! The view from the deck was amazing! Watched the sunrise every morning! It is beautifully decorated. It is not only ocean front but it is so close to Main Street Park and Fort Clinch State park. Also it is close to Historic Fernandino Beach shopping and dining. Communication with host was great! We actually stayed another day! Can not wait to visit again! Comfy beds made it a restful stay!

What a great place. Been to Fernandina Beach many times and the views from this house were best.
Beds very comfortable and all well stocked. Ample parking, great neighbors and right on the beach. There for daughter's wedding on Family farm nearby and just loved this property. Very responsive and accommodating ownership. Clean two kitchens. Great for being together and some privacy if you want it. Great Great Place

Amazing
I was so happy with this property. We LOVED everything about it. The only thing we weren’t aware of is there are no inside stairs to downstairs. So it’s actually like two apartments instead of one house. We were going to put the kids down there but being so young, we weren’t comfortable without stairs. Not a huge deal at all. It was perfect in every other way! We will be booking again!

Short stay
We had a great time while staying so close to the beach. We loved the proximity to the water, restaurants, town, shark's teeth and the ability to hear the ocean from your own porch. The fact that the upstairs and downstairs weren't connected from the inside was clearly presented in the description and didn't deter us from choosing this location but it was a little odd. Overall we would stay here again.

Beautiful beach. Very convenient area (2 restaurants within walking distance). Nice bedrooms and kitchen. Only negatives were no inside access to bottom floor rooms and laundry, and the view. While it is right on the other side of the dune, we love to sit on the deck and watch the beach, but we were looking at the back of the dune.

We enjoyed our stay, short walk to beach, all rooms in house was very small , but we managed, nice appliances but ice maker upstairs did not work and there were no dishes or trash can in downstairs kitchen, Beds were all very nice and comfortable. I would recommend for smaller family.

What a view!
This house was right on the beach with a gorgeous view of the ocean. I was concerned from the photos that there was no central air, but the ac units kept it very cool on hot days. It has two separate two-bedroom units, upstairs is the only one with a view. Well stocked with plenty of towels. Very clean. Would absolutely stay here again. Great access to a quiet section of beach, there is a short path directly outside.

Cozy and comfortable
The listing says it all, don’t be fooled by the outside. This listing does reflect it being a small rental, and the owners have maximized space very well. We are a family of 6 adults and everyone had plenty of room to be comfortable while hanging out. Location was awesome. We got great pictures of the ocean right from the deck! Communication was quick and simple when we had quiestions. Highly recommend this rental.

Beautiful Location
Overall we were happy with our stay. Great location. Could use some decluttering in cabinets and on the front deck around the grill. As mentioned in the description it’s tight quarters in regards to closet space/drawers. No wine glasses or any glass cups. All plastic. This property looks like is up for sale so not sure if that matters to some.

Comfortable beds, Incredible location!
I would absolutely recommend staying here. The decor was calming and appropriately beachy. The beds were comfortable and plush. The location was incredible and the deck meant we could hear and see the water without leaving the house. You can't see much of the waves, but you can see the water and hear the waves. There were 6 beach chairs of good quality, a brand new beach umbrella that you can screw into the sand, beach towels (maybe 5), and a fridge that plays Pandora. The beach is maybe 50 feet away, just up and down a tiny sand dunes and once there low tide reveals a sand bar with small water pool that would be perfect for little kids, and the waves weren't rough but Saturday did lure some surfers there. All in all I'd absolutely stay here again.

Enjoyable vacation location
Overall our stay was good. Location was great. Right on the beach over the dune with a private walk way. Close to restaurants/bars with live music and a convenience store, beach shops and rentals, mini golf and a kids playground all in walking distance. It is also just a short drive do the downtown with lots of shops and restaurants. The property is well prepared for guests and we'll stocked. It is clear the owner wants guests to enjoy their stay. That said, the cleaning service left something to be desired. The floors were not clean at all with crumbs, sand and pet hair so we had to clean thoroughly. Also, the duvet covers on the beds appeared as though they had never been washed. We had to wash all bedding before we were comfortable sleeping in the beds and this literally lightened the color of the duvet covers multiple shades. That said, I think this is on the cleaning service and the property manager should pay close attention to the job they are doing. Once cleaned, the house was great.

Spring Break
We were 3 families including 6 adults and 7 kids that came to visit for spring break. We had the best time! It is so nice to be right on the beach when you have kids. It made coming back to the house for anything so easy. The property manager was communicative and understanding and let one family check in early when they arrived. We knew about the 2 floors being separated with only outside access so that wasn't a huge surprise or inconvenience. All the beds were super comfortable, having 2 fridges was an absolute convenience, and overall we just had the best time. Would consider coming back in the future!

Perfect little place for us!
Perfect location, great view, beautifully decorated and updated. Lots of kitchen stuff and towels. The beach chairs and umbrella were perfect. The only issues we had were the 2 queen beds downstairs. They are very high from the ground. Could actually use a small step stool to get in and out of bed. But, on the plus side, the beds and pillows were very comfy and smelled good. The gate latch to the upstairs deck was a little wonky and our 9 pound dogs could fit through the slats. All in all, we were all very pleased with the place and felt like we were at home. Had a great time. Thank you!

Beach stay
The house was actually two separate spaces. Although is able to sleep 12, would be very tight with that many. There is a run-down house in front of this unit, which we thought at first was what we rented. Glad to figure out we were looking at the wrong building. Loved the outdoor porch but not crazy about having to go outside to get from upper and lower parts of the house. Also when we got there we had to fold a load of 3 sets of sheets that had been left in the dryer. That’s what we pay the cleaning fee for right?
