CONS:
This is a beautiful Art Deco building in need of a deep clean, repairs, and restoration. Dead, dark, and depressing.
We went through 5 different rooms in the first 24 hours and ended up with a better one that we couldn't lock the door from inside, sheets were not clean, 3 electrical sockets were out of order, room light were too bright that hurt your eyes but there was not enough light in the bathroom, the nightstand tends to flip over when the drawer pulled out, No hot water in the morning happened twice in our 15 day's stay.
Very strong foul oder almost in the entire hotel lasted for 3 days, sprayed chimical, ordered by the city, when we asked.
Dark hallways that we purchased a flashlight.
Only one receptionist could speak English that we have seen him 3 times.
PROS:
Great location, steps from Istiklal Street.
Good breakfast buffet.
Fast internet connection with no interruption.
Elevators were in good condition.
The maids were nice.
The hotel had a front and a back entrance.
