We had booked a stay in this beautiful hotel for three, last September to stay for this July. To my horror I had made a mistake with the booking dates. I must say the kind service from Aris at this hotel could not have been any better! He looked after my mistake, while I was about to get on an aeroplane and ensured he would find us accommodation at this beautiful hotel, for the days I should have booked (a week later). The room was very spacious & clean, Aris offered us tea & coffee on arrival, and was the perfect gentleman, given my error. I can’t fault this service & thank Aris for making our first stay in Istanbul a smooth one. :-)

Great for solo travellers
Very nice hotel 1 min walk from Taksim square. Ideal for solo travellers. Neighbourhood felt very safe. Bed very comfortable with clean linen. Room serviced daily. Bathroom in my room was very small but clean enough and ideal for a quick shower. Friendly gent on reception was genuinely interested how I found my stay on checkout. Great hotel and one of the cheapest in the area for the quality).

This hotel was located very close to the touristy spots. It was very clean, comfortable, and the staff were welcoming. The staff were also very helpful arranging transportation for us with very good directions on where to go to meet our driver.

Clean, small hotel in handy location
Roco is a small hotel amongst many others in the Taksim area. The location is good for access to Taksim Square & the top of Istiklal Street and only a few blocks from the Havabus to the airports. This is the reason we chose to spend our last night in istanbul. The room is spacious & clean but the bathrooms very small, especially the shower. It was clean and the amenities provided were good. The bed was on the soft side but still comfortable. There was a small balcony in our room for those who wish to smoke. The rooms in Roca have very high wooden ceilings & this is our only complaint. You can hear every footstep above you not to mention luggage being rolled along or put into place. The noise is amplified by the ceiling height. The staff were very friendly. There are a number of small markets very nearby and across the street is a open air snacks/cafe which sells all manner of edible goodies. Their cheese toasties are basic but tasty. So, apart from the noise coming from the room above, Roco is not a bad place to stay but there are dozens of these small hotels in the area. Competition is fierce.

I stayed here during the Champions League final and it was perfect for a few days. Rooms are nicely decorated, spacious , air con, charging points by the bed (my pet hate when this isn’t thought about!), nice shower (albeit tiny bathroom, but fully equipped nonetheless), but above all quiet! It’s only a few metres from all the action in Taksim Square, but you’d never know. The building is a lovely old town house, and the room I stayed in was around the back overlooking the backs of houses, so absolutely no street noise. You’d never have known there was a 24 hour party taking place about 50m away! The hotel also arranged my taxi to and from the airport, it worked out about the same price as an Uber and you pay the hotel direct, it made it very easy (UEFA take note-it’s not that hard to organise transport!). Overall a great stay, would I have been so happy if City hasn’t won? Yeah probably! Bars are open 24/7 and serve food all day and night too (a good job too because UEFA didn’t get us back until 4am and we hasn’t eaten anything in 14 hours). We had a great time and the food is generally excellent in this area, with loads of places to choose from. Overall, excellent area, excellent little hotel.
