My entire experience with this trip has been nothing short of horrible from the moment I arrived. I had booked a transfer directly from the airport through the hotel and had even reminded them before my flight, expecting clear instructions upon landing. However, none were provided. I spent 45 minutes looking for the driver at the airport, only to end up having to take a taxi at my own expense.
When I arrived at the hotel, the receptionist apologized and admitted that it was the hotel’s fault for not providing the necessary instructions. I was then shown to my room, but when I tried to lock the door, it wouldn’t close properly. I was told that there was no handyman available, but someone would be sent to take a look. The bellboy who came to fix it tried, but the lock still didn’t work. As a lone female traveler, I felt unsafe in a room where I couldn’t lock the door. I requested a different room, but was told none were available and I would have to make do.
I checked online, and to my surprise, there were rooms available, but they were all priced much higher than the one I had booked. At this point, I was frustrated and decided to check out and find alternative accommodation. When I went to checkout, the hotel staff assured me that Expedia would resolve the issue since I had booked through them. However, Expedia has been unable to get in touch with the hotel to demand a refund, leaving me out of pocket and with no resolution. I have received no service that was promised to
