"I thought i just needed a place to sleep for the night. It turns out what i REALLY needed was a night at the spa. Everything was incredibly quiet and comfortable. Angelina was behind the counter and made everything flow seamlessly. She really went the extra mile to ensure i had a wonderful visit. "Hotel Carlia provided us a comfortable stay for our one night in Uddevalla. The bed was comfortable and the blackout curtains conveniently shielded us from any of the light during midsummer. The room was clean, though a bit outdated in the bathroom. Plenty of space throughout. It would have been nice to have more climate control as it felt rather hot and humid in the room. "We wish we could have stayed here longer! Everyone - from the front desk to the restaurant - was so pleasant and welcoming. Despite the weather, we enjoyed walking around the property and local area, and then feasted on a superb dinner. The breakfast buffet is exceptional!"

"We stayed one night. The room was small but the bed comfortable although it was against the wall so not so convenient to get out of. We had dinner in the restaurant as we had received a discount for food. The menu was a bit limited but ok. B'fast was good even if did not have a massive choice. The staff was friendly and the location is walking distance to the harbour and centre of town plus there are a few parking spaces. "

"The bed was very soft. The mattress sloped on one side, making sleep difficult. I had to hang on with one arm to prevent my body from falling on the floor. Please fix this!!"

"Visited on the offseason and loved it. Hotel was well kept with all modern conveniences. Staff were friendly. We had the island almost to ourselves which allowed us to see more during nature hikes and had dinner in town where the locals embraced us so as to make us feel most welcome."

"Very nice apartment style room high above Kungshamn, with fantastic sweeping views. Also a large deck with seating areas and a jacuzzi. Breakfast was off property at a nearby restaurant and was also very good. Plenty of parking next to hotel. Easy walking to everything. Comfy beds and extra room with bunk beds for kids, which we didn’t need. Full kitchen. Only negative was that the A/C didn’t seem to work, so we opened a window instead. Highly recommended."

"The house is just a regular villa without any extra soundproofing so when other guests stumbled in at one o'clock superdrunk everyone hears it. The guests then locked themselves in both bathrooms and started violently puking for everyone to hear. One other guest were sleeping off the whiskey in the living room couch. In the morning we opened a window and it turns out the street outside has surprisingly heavy traffic. We mailed the owner the morning after about the puking drunks and he asked "but...

"Well in it's day I bet it was a smart hotel,it needs a bit of TLC but it was budget hotel so you don't have high expectations,but I did not expect a broken shower holder, and the shower screen was not on it's rails correctly and black mold ,it was a good bathroom apart from that and the room was ok "
