EXCELLENT still New hotel in Johor
Solo traveller from SG: Last minute decision for an overnight staycation after long ride from North Malaysia coming back down to Singapore. Decided to spend a night in Johor to rest up before heading back. Booked the hotel late at night within 20-30mins reached the lobby about midnight. PARKING: 10/10 The security told me that hotel guests are allowed to park their MOTORBIKE at the front porch in front of lobby - for hotel guests checking in. (A SUPERB relief on vehicle safety for riders). FRONT DESK / Check-in: 9/10 > They were already standing by my last minute booking, just needed passport to verify. Superb service by Ms Intan. > Only thing left out was explaining where the pool, gym & restaurant location was. ROOM: 8.5/10 > Very Spacious > Nice comfy king-size bed > Clean toilet with abundant toiletries + hair dryer > Iron board, safe & hangars available > ONLY missed out on the top up of the body wash liquid (totally empty @ room #702) FACILITIES: 9/10 > Gym dumbbell till 25kg with 2 benches > sufficient cable & cardio machines > Ample swimming pool space with towel provided CHECK OUT: 10/10 > needed some extra time to re-organize, asked for 1/2 hr extension but the hotel gave an hour. Great stay
This hotel has become one of my favourites to stay in for a short trip to JB. Mall does not have a great variety of stores but Book Xcess is worth spending some time in. I also really like the water dispenser initiative, perhaps the hotel can also consider only giving out disposable toiletries on request to further protect the environment. Breakfast was quite good too.

Managed to get an upgrade to a family suite, the manager Song graciously offered us a nice price for us to top up and upgrade our room. The room was ready well before the stated check in time and very clean with complimentary bottled water and beverages. Only one suggestion I would make is to have an anti slip mat available in the shower, as the floor can be quite slippery for my child when its wet.

It was a pleasant stay overall, with a nice quiet location yet convenient with the attached mall. The hotel was clean and the breakfast was a good spread. However there was one incident which we were less satisfied with. After our first night, the hotel failed to replace our towels. This left us without any towels (old ones were taken away). The housekeeping failed to pick up our call either, and we had to resort to physically finding the receptionist at the lobby for help. Just wanted to flag this up as an area for improvement.
