Excellent property and host
A great location to explore Normandy, the house was as described and we were really comfortable here. The pool was excellent and always kept clean and warm. Our host was always availabkle if we had any questions or needed advice and we felt well looked after.

Beautiful Retreat in Heart of Normandy
We loved our stay in Samuelle’s beautifully restored farmhouse. She is a fantastic host- offering up anything you need to make your stay more enjoyable. The location is perfect for visiting nearby D-Day beaches, Bayeux and other sites. The garden is a tranquil setting to relax and chat about the day’s adventures over a glass of local cider. Thank you, Samuelle for hosting us. We loved our time there!

Lovely property
Excellent stay - very nice design, clean, good beds, cozy kitchen. Stairs upstairs are tricky and not great in the dark. Sam is an excellent host and great tour guide. Would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful Accommodation
Absolutely loved our stay. We found plenty to do with our 3 boys , ages 11,13 & 13. Boys loved the pool! Samuelle is a wonderful host. Visited an adventure park about 20/25 mins away. Easy to drive around too with supermarket , petrol station and town only a short drive away. Even a Mc Ds which the kids were very impressed about ! Quiet , beautiful location. Visited some wonderful places just a little drive away. Thankyou for sharing your wonderful home with us. Clean accomadation, with everything we needed.

Eine schöne Woche im Utah-Haus
Wir haben eine schöne Woche auf dem ehemaligen Gutshof verbracht. Alle Sehenswürdigkeiten zum D-Day waren von hier aus sehr gut zu erreichen. Sowohl das Haus als auch der Pool und der Garten waren sehr gepflegt. Samuelle ist eine sehr freundliche Vermieterin.

Heerlijk sfeervol huis
Het is een heerlijk sfeervol huis met een fijne keuken om een kerstdiner te maken en een gezellige woonkamer met haard om bij te kletsen, een film te kijken of spelletjes te doen. Voldoende bezienswaardigheden in de buurt (in Bayeux, D-day locaties en bijvoorbeeld Le Mont Saint-Michel). Aanrader!

Merci à Samuelle pour les bonnes adresses de restaurants et tous les petits à côté. Très jolie région pour pouvoir observé les cigognes et aussi faire du vélo. Nous regrettons déjà la fraîcheur de la maison.

Perfection in Normandy
We have just returned from an unforgettable stay at Clos De Bliss in Utah House made even better by Samuelle’s unswerving enthusiasm to ensure you have the perfect stay. The house itself is beautiful and has been very tastefully decorated right down to lovely little additions like the typewriter and old phone in one of the rooms - inspired by war correspondence which used to take place in the property. The garden is just beautiful and well manicured, plus the addition of the kids swing and slide was a very welcome addition too. We also loved our visits from Buddy, the woolly cocker spaniel who the kids also adored. The swimming pool and sauna are very well maintained and a day didn’t go by where we didn’t take the kids for a swim. Samuelle herself is a gracious host and nothing was an issue. Due to fuel prices going up, the baker could not deliver fresh bread anymore so Samuelle delivered it herself which we really appreciated. Fresh bread and pastries delivered to your home each morning was a great way to start the day. We were also fortunate enough to have a d-day tour with Samuelle at the American cemetery which we would highly recommend. We really couldn’t fault any aspect of our trip and we hope to return as soon as we can.

Heerlijk verblijf op een rustgevende en idyllische locatie
We hebben een heerlijk verblijf gehad op een prachtige landelijke locatie. De uiterst vriendelijke gastvrouw heeft deze boerderij omgetoverd tot een luxe verblijf. De accommodatie was van alle gemakken voorzien. Alle voorzieningen en historische trekpleisters zijn goed bereikbaar vanaf de boerderij. Wij raden een ieder een verblijf bij Samuelle van harte aan.

Wunderschönes Haus und Grundstück!
Wir waren eine Woche bei schlechtem Wetter dort und es war trotzdem schön. Die Küche ist gut ausgestattet, der Gasherd ein Traum. Die Sauna wurde genutzt und abends der Kamin angezündet ... Nach Wind und Regen einfach entspannen... Danke an Samuelle für die Tipps! Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Très jolie maison, bel accueil, nous recommandons +++
Nous avons beaucoup apprécié notre séjour dans cette jolie maison, très bien située, très bien équipée et décorée avec beaucoup de goût. Accueil très chaleureux de Samuelle la propriétaire et visite très intéressante du cimetière américain d'Omaha Beach à ses côtés. Nous recommandons vraiment cette location. Nous y retournerons avec plaisir.

Campagne normande cosy et chaleureuse
Nous avons passé un superbe séjour dans cette résidence. La maison est décorée avec beaucoup de goûts et est très bien équipée. L'extérieur est également très bien entretenu, calme et l'accueil très chaleureux. On se sent très vite comme chez soi.

We’ll be back
We had a lovely but too short stay at this beautiful house in Normandy. The house is in a very quiet, peaceful location but close to lots of sites such as the D-day beaches and Bayeaux. All in all a place to recommend and hopefully we’ll be back again sometime soon.

Lovely place and lovely host
We had a wonderful break at the property. Samuelle was a perfect host - she was always available and helpful and knowledgeable (We would recommend her tour of Omaha beach and the American cemetery) and very charming. The place itself is lovely with lots of character. The family (age-range 7-79) all loved it and there was plenty of space. Vouilly is very quiet but there are several pretty towns within driving distance. Thank you Samuelle, we really enjoyed ourselves

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans un environnement enchanteur : Utah House est admirablement rénovée et décorée, c'est une belle maison très confortable et qui bénéficie d'un calme absolu. De surcroît, Samuelle est une hôtesse exceptionnelle : adorable, aux petits soins, pleine d'humour et de gentillesse. Elle est d'une grande culture sur cette belle région. Nous recommandons très chaleureusement le clos de Blisse.

Erholsame Traumferien
Wir haben unsere Ferien auf diesem wunderschönen Anwesen sehr genossen. Unsere Gastgeberin Samuelle Carlson war überaus herzlich und hilfsbereit. Das Haus war nicht nur blitzsauber, sondern zudem sehr geschmackvoll und liebevoll eingerichtet. Die Kombination aus antiken und modernen Möbeln und Gegenständen hat uns sehr gefallen. Die Küche ist komplett eingerichtet, es fehlt an nichts. Es ist ein Vergnügen, an dem wunderbaren und sehr grossen Herd für mehrere Personen zu kochen. Die Bäder sind ebenso grosszügig ausgestattet wie die Küche. Ganz besonders hat die Jugend die «Regenwalddusche» geliebt. Ebenso können wir die geräumigen Zimmer mit ihren sehr guten Betten nur rühmen. Komplettiert wird das Ganze durch einen äusserst grossen eigenen Garten mit einem herrlichen alten Baumbestand. Zusätzlich befinden sich auf dem Grundstück ein grosser Teich, Grünflächen und ein eigenständiges Gebäude mit komfortablem Pool und Sauna. Die Lage des Grundstücks eignet sich gut für Ausflüge unterschiedlichster Art. Ob Geschichtliches, Städte, Strand oder Einkaufsmöglichkeiten…alles ist in nützlicher Frist erreichbar. Die Lage in der Natur lädt zu Spaziergängen ein. Frische Backwaren können bestellt und auf die Fensterbank geliefert werden. All dieses und die ruhige Umgebung tragen zu erholsamen Ferientagen bei. Sollte ich vergessen haben, irgendetwas lobend zu erwähnen, sei es mir verziehen. Die Ferien waren rundherum wunderbar. Wir werden sicher wieder kommen…Vielen Dank!
