A beautiful homestead with lovely hosts
We booked this place for five of us a while ago and had an extra couple of friends wanting to join us last minute. Ruth and Ken allowed us to bring them too for a small extra fee. We ended up with one person on a blow up mattress in the living room, but even with that the home felt very spacious. It's beautifully decorated and all the essentials were there. From fresh milk in the fridge to bodywash in the shower. Even a little chocolate Easter bunny. Ruth and Ken were great hosts. Unfortunately there was a storm the first night, which cut the power supplies to the entire property for the remainder of our stay. Ruth and Ken came straight over to supply us with batteries, torches and candles. Two of our friends also had little electric fridges that we were able to run with batteries for a while, otherwise our food would have gone off. And the first night was a little uncomfortable as the power loss also meant that we had no running water and couldn't flush the toilets (it's connection to the pumps is electric). So we had to go outside in the bushes the first night. Ken and Ruth organised a generator for the morning which was shared with the campsite and for an hour we were able to use the running water to clean up. Later on they managed to find a second generator that we were able to keep by the house for the remainder of the stay, which was great as it allowed us to selfmanage the water and electricity usage. Overall a fantastic stay and we would definitely come back! Thanks

Ruth and Ken were so lovely and helpful, we booked our stay and then we’re hit with a lockdown! They were so accommodating and flexible and I can’t express my appreciation and gratitude enough at such a stressful time! the property itself was absolutely beautiful, so peaceful & the view was incredible! It was an amazing experience & I will definitely be staying again, thank you guys so much for everything
