"The hotel is advertised as having AC, this was a key element in my decision to book this hotel. Apparently they turn it off when it gets cold, according to them and other guests should just open the windows. We were promised that the hotel manager would contact us as we complained about it. That was on Saturday and we checked out on Monday. I have yet to hear back from her or anyone in the property. The receptionist offered us another room where they opened the windows. How did i not think of that? I asked to get at least a fan but i'm only a paying customer, why should i get a response? The hotel images, suggest that it is somewhat secluded. This is not the case as i was woken up by trains passing nearby (100-200m) at 7am. We had to sleep with open windows... Not my ideal vacation. The only bright side in this hotel was the F&B staff who were super friendly and helpful."

"The Chalet is a13 minute walk from the Obertraun train station. It is an 8 minute walk to the bus to Hallstatt. Obertraun is a picturesque, peaceful village away from the crowds of Hallstatt. It has some 700 residents. There is a supermarket but restaurants are limited. The property is beautiful ... surrounded by mountains. It is impeccably maintained. The apartment was adorable and well outfitted. The owner provided water, orange juice, cofee and tea. She was also very helpful with directions and recommendations. The bed was comfortable, kitchen well equipped and bathroom spacious. I couldn't ask for nothing more! I enjoyed waking up and seeing the sheep graze!! I would highly recommend this Chalet!! "

"Very good staff took care of a complaint I had about room being too hot solved issue. Great amenities especially in kitchen, spacious layout, great balcony. I would stay there again. Lots of parking, near town. "

"This hotel was fantastic. They had the friendliest staff that was willing to help with anything. The hotel room was spacious and comfortable for a family of 4. The biggest surprise was all the extras that we got wit our room. A 3:30 to 4:30 afternoon coffee hour with fresh fruits and delicious cakes, access to top quality pool (with a water slide), the "summer card" for all kinds of included and discounted activities in the area. And I left the best for last. My most favorite part of the hotel was the breakfast. Anything you could dream up seemed to be there. Fresh baked goods, meats and cheeses, fresh fruits, omelette bar, smoked salmon (and other fish as well). The drinks were just as amazing and included options like prosecco, smoothies, fresh juice, and of course great coffees. I highly recommend this property."
