Drumsmittal School, Black Isle, Inverness

Our recently renovated property which was the old village school, is completed to a high standard and is wonderfully bright and spacious. With two bedrooms and two bathrooms we are ideally located in a beautiful rural location less than 10 minutes from Inverness City Centre. The best of both worlds! Use us as your base to explore the Highlands. Our situation is perfect for exploring Inverness, The Black Isle, Loch Ness, Culloden, Clava Cairns, as well as further afield. If you are arriving by public transport we can pick you up in Inverness. There is a large private parking area outside the house and it's free of charge.

The house has it's own utility room with a washing machine and an electric clothes drier.

The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need including a microwave and a dish washer. If you prefer to eat out the near by village of North Kessock boasts a pub and a tea-room, both of whom serve great food. Free wi-fi is provided, although with so much to see and do, we hope you will relax and switch your phone off!

Absolutely Stunning
I can’t say enough about this place and the owners. It was a beautiful stay in the countryside but still close to Inverness. The house had amazing views. Ellie and Donnie went above and beyond. I highly recommend this place!

My Favorite VRBO Stay!
This is a delightful place to stay! It is just north of the city and so quiet and peaceful. Big bathrooms and lots of living space. If I could give more than five STARS, I would!

Beautiful House & Location
Ellie & Donnie were great hosts & nothing was too much trouble for them. Its a beautiful house fully equipped, clean & has been beautifully done up. The location is stunning with lovely countryside views. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a highland getaway, yet still close to Inverness.

We had a wonderful time and enjoyed the sheep farms around us. Donnie was fantastic and we appreciate all that he had done for us. It was a great location to spend our birthday holiday and look forward to returning. We would definitely recommend to everyone!!

Fantastic rural space close to everything
Our party of 4 had a wonderful time at Drumsmittal School. It is close to The city center and Culloden. But it is in a lovely pastoral setting with sweet discoveries around every corner. Donnie and Ellie could not have been more gracious and welcoming, and we would look forward to visiting this place again.

We were pleasantly greeted and shown around the apartment. Such a cool place to stay with everything we needed, including food/drink. Hosts were very helpful with suggestions for food and other info. (N Kessock hotel dinner was 5 star!) We loved the view of grazing sheep from the bedroom / living area windows. Wish we could have stayed here longer.

This is the perfect place to stay while discovering Inverness and all the wonderful things to do around there. Our hosts, Ellie and Donnie, were very courteous and informative! The house, a converted school, was spacious and easy access to all attractions. Their recommendations on restaurants and attractions gave us a delightful variety of things to see and places to eat. Perfect location
This was the absolute perfect spot for home-base in for our highland adventure. We traveled to both the east and west coasts. The property was clean, up to date and nestled in a country setting complete with the hillside of sheep out the large windows. Donnie and Ellie were the perfect host.
