The lake house had lots of room for our 6 adults and 1 grandchild to stay. It was nice to have the fire pit, the access to the lake (although due to weather, didn't get to use much), and internet. Having the 2 bathrooms, the bedrooms with queen-sized and one with king-sized bed was helpful for the married couples.
While we could see there were attempts to do the general cleaning (bedding, floors, emptying trash, cleaning bathrooms, etc.), the refrigerator needed more attention as several drawers were left with quite a bit of grime (definitely there for more than a week). My son-in-law and I attempted to clean the fridge more deeply. The pillows had no pillow protectors and when I pulled off a pillow case to launder I realized I needed to bleach the pillow (didn't do this to all the pillows as some of us brought our own pillows to use). I also laundered the mattress protectors on several beds, since they looked like they needed it (may have been our "dirt" as we slept in the bed and then rearranged people during the stay and did additional laundry). The kitchen has lots of supplies, but is in disarray—probably from so many people staying and no "system" in place to be sure everything is returned to original "home" in the cabinets and drawers. We also had an issue with the shower curtains in both bathrooms: neither wanted to stay up and in a high enough position. One rod was actually ruining the sheetrock and was pressing against a wooden post that ran from the ceiling to a wall housing the tub/shower and was causing the entire post to shift.
We've stayed at a number of Air B'nB's and have always enjoyed the extra space and the attention to detail by the owners. I think the owners of this place would want better attention fo the details, but are not local and probably don't always see first-hand how things are cared for.
