Relax on Lake Bowen at our spacious 3-bedroom retreat

This 3 Bedroom, 3 full bath, features 3 queen beds with a futon in the sunroom. The home has ample space for your relaxing stay at the lake! We offer high-speed WiFi great for those times you have to work while on vacation . We have a propane grill and fully equipped kitchen that allows for great meals after a long day of swimming. The back deck offers additional eating space with a 4 person table and an 6 person table available for outdoor dining. If you decide to bring your own boat we have a boat ramp and dock. We are located on a private cove that is perfect for swimming. A kayak and floats are available for guest use. Pets Allowed with pet fee.

Beautiful place in a great location.Easy to get into Spartanburg and close to hiking areas in NC. Teens had fun using kayaks.

Great family celebration

We loved the house on the lake. It was plenty big enough for my family of 7. We caught many catfish on the doc while enjoying the fire pit. I would recommend this property!

My family and I spent a week at this lake house. It was a beautiful getaway, the house was well decorated and clean. The beds were not very comfortable for me but everything else was great!

Looking for a relaxing but large enough space to accommodate a few family members (king size beds would be great!) an end of life ceremony. Space is amazing and communication is top notch - We plan to visit again!

Great Lake House
Clean house with lots of space. Great spot on the lake. Caught a nice catfish in limited time fishing. The surrounding area is very nice. This place was perfect. We have 5 adults and had plenty of extra space.

Fabulous Stay
We visited the area for a family wedding and could not have been more pleased with this home and the owner. The area was very quiet, the lake was beautiful, and the kayaks were a huge bonus. I would definitely recommend this property!

Great vacation for kids!
We highly recommend this to families! The interior of the house is a clean, casual and easy to get comfortable in. The sunroom is awesome - we spent every morning and evening there, catching the sunrise and sunset. The BEST part is this backyard --- beautiful grass leading right up to the dock. We couldn't keep the kids out of the water! We popped by other rentals that our family was using - this one was for sure the best location if you're looking for a lake vacation.

When can we come back?
We really enjoyed the property. Our kids fished off the dock. We caught a small fish and had a lot of bites and nibbles. We found a boat rental of a neighbor on the lake. We were close to Asheville and major attractions. The property was quiet. We loved the sunroom and playing darts. The rooms were good sizes. Beds were comfy. It felt like a home-away-from-home. We would love to come back.

Fantastic lake getaway!!
Lakehouse delivered-plenty of space for several generations to sleep, rest, swim and have fun. We took out the kayaks, used a few floats, fished and generally enjoyed the outdoors as much as the indoors. Very clean, plenty of towels and all the basics and the kitchen was well equipped. I LOVE the old school lake house feel with the newer updates that make it so inviting and comfortable.

Beautiful and clean property The lake and deck was so peaceful just to sit and watch We went in the latter part of April so still a bit cold to go in the water House was well stocked the only complaint is the 3 beds/mattresses were not very comfortable - may be time for new mattresses

Lakefront peace!
Great place for relaxed girls' weekend. Clean and very comfortable place. We especially enjoyed the fire pit by the lake, the glassed back room and deck, and extra roomy and comfy sectional sofa in the main den, with huge tv. Had no problems at all. We took fun trips within 30 minutes to Landrum (Hare & Hound), and breweries. We also really enjoyed the Fat Ass Hiefer Cidery (hard ciders but are not strong tasting - try it!) - the owners are so friendly! Bowen's Landing Restaurant was fantastic. The owner and staff were all very friendly and appreciative of our patronage. Ask to have Isabel wait on you. She was fun, knowledgeable and efficient!

Nice- Would Stay Again!
Just a couple of minor things, the light in the ceiling fan on the left side of the property did not work. Renters will need their own codes for the app-based TVs (don't forget to log them out when you leave). It would be nice to have some small shampoo bottles- I don't recall in the ad whether there was a recommendation to do so. Bring your groceries- it will save time for going to the Ingalls Publix or local Walmart.

The location was lovely but, if you have allergies, the mildew/ mold is tough. The appliances need attention, either need to be calebrated or replaced. Overall cleanliness needs improvement. We changed out the furnace filter but still had to leave 3 days early due to reaction of allergies.

Quiet, safe, relaxing ... but that neighbor ...
We had a wonderful weekend. The sunroom is perfect and relaxing. Plenty of places to sit and sleep for all of us. The kitchen was well stocked and easy to prepare meals in (mainly breakfast). I liked the water and ice feature in the refrigerator. The lake was quiet, almost too quiet, we hardly saw anyone at all. It was chilly so we were inside most of the time, and gone during the day. 2 Dollar General stores within 3 miles for all basics, and an Ingles grocery store (it was HUGE) less than 10 minutes away. We were close to everything we needed. We used the fire pit on New Years eve and it was great until the neighbor blasted us with their flood lights, so that was not the fault of the home owner. It literally looked like there were about 10 flood lights on when we were roasting marshmallows and trying to enjoy the quietness of the lake and the stars. The tub in the middle bathroom is GREAT, but the hot water runs out if you try to fill it up so only use it when no one uses hot water for about 4 hours (washer, dishwasher etc). The arm ramps in the tub made for a nice relaxing soak. The shower heads were great. There were plenty of towels- more than any rental I have ever been in. The sheets were all soft and comfortable as was all the bedding. The picture on the walls were nice. I felt very much at home and relaxed. The place was not overdecorated which is another plus.

Very peaceful
I was looking for a place to bring my elderly dad to fish and have family join us. It was perfect! Short walk to the lake and we caught a lot of fish right from the dock. Our 5 year old grandson was thrilled with the kayaks and the S’mores at the fire pit. The house was super cozy and the kitchen met all our needs. We will definitely book again.

Perfect for a large family
This space was so wonderful that our family gathering of 10 didn’t feel crowded at all. Kids had fun playing darts and Uno and chilled one evening watching a movie on Hulu. It was easy to find plates and silverware because all of the drawers were labeled and the big coffee pot kept us happily caffeinated! The only down side was we didn’t have enough time to enjoy the kayaks and the lake. Guess we’ll have to come back again!

Perfect for our needs
We were in town a wedding. With the wedding festivities taking place, I wish we had more time to enjoy the house and all it had to offer . Look forward to renting again in the future when we have more time..the only thing I would change is maybe mattress toppers for the beds. I am used to a firm mattress. It is what I have at home..however other members of group are not . Other than that, I loved the house, location, the spaciousness,. Wonderful big backyard on the lake.. would definitely rent it again
