"A convenient place to stay, just a short walk from the train station. The room was nicely decorated and although advertised as cosy, it was fairly spacious. The bed was comfortable and more than sufficient amenities for a few nights stay. The bathroom could’ve been cleaner and the shower wasn’t very hot or powerful. Great food in the pub downstairs from a varied menu. "

"Great location couldn't believe how good the views were, absolutely breathtaking. Met the owner whilst there. He was brilliant and friendly nothing was any problem. Very kind and nice man. Would recommend it 100% to anyone. One happy customer and his dog Buddy. "

"No better place for a relaxing time. Nicely located for a trip into the lakes if required. Extremely clean and Mark very helpful with good communication and doing all he could for us. Only negative it says hot tub which we wrongly assumed would be at the cabin - however I assume he is referring to the jacuzzi in the swimming area and I feel this should be highlighted. The lodge is awesome and communication with Margaret the host is incredible, she responded to every email I sent asking questions about the area and generously offered us an extra night as we had to cancel our other stay due to ill health. "Large rooms on single level and a modern cabin were a welcome change from tiny cottages. The uncleaned toilet was the only negative. The trailer park was in a beautiful setting and excellent location. The facilities were good, but, the restaurant was poor."

"One of our go to places when up in Kendal for business. Clean & friendly and a good choice of things on the menu. Food is delicious! Only downfall we had was we booked a certain table for dinner one evening and one member of staff had moved us and was quite rude about it! Original table was empty the whole time we were in the restaurant! Wouldn’t have minded if she had been polite and explained why the move had been made!"
