"The location was good and the kitchen was well stocked in as far as dishes, cutlery, towels,laundry detergent etc The place needs a good cleaning! The chair in the living room needs to be cleaned as it had a bad odor. The downstairs bathroom especially. Lots of missing light bulbs making the place dark. "Great, cozy, comfortable, light-filled cottage for two on St Margarets Bay, with view of water from large deck. Close to beaches, South Shore, Peggy's Cove and Halifax area. The village of Hubbards has grocery, cafes, pharmacy, NSLC, bike trails and great Farmers Market."

"I will say that the property setting was amazing, with picturesque views, especially with large windows, you could see the beauty of winter.The check in process was seamless and communication with host was amazing and timely. We were just a bit disappointed that the fireplace was not functional and there were no ping pong table available which were 2 things we were looking forward to. Other than that, we had an amazing time with the family."

"My husband and I traveled from Victoria to meet up with relatives from the U.K to explore Atlantic Canada. We found Paulette and her accommodations a great place to start our adventures. Centrally located we were able to walk to many local attractions, including Halifax Harbour. Place worked out great for the five of us and definitely would stay again. "Wow! Whalesback Cottage was the Nova Scotia oceanside escape that we were looking for. Our own private space – no traffic … no crowds … and the only sounds were the waves hitting the rocks. We spent countless pleasant hours watching the tides change the view … scanned the ocean with binoculars looking for the whales folks see occasionally. "Bring your groceries and leave your worries behind. This out-of-the-way vacation cottage is a great place to settle in and watch the waves. We spotted seals, eagles and fishing boats gliding past.
