View of an old market in the Georgian village of Tobanieri. The name and the design of the store is very much from the Soviet-era. The store has a sign labeled “products” in Russian, which is then directly translated into Georgian. In some of the more rural villages, I have noticed that the older people and townsfolk are confused as to why one would “name” a store. Still very a bourgeois concept in some places.

"STAY AWAY... It is just a house run by a women. They have no services what so ever. They don't even clean your villa. I had to request so many times to have my villa cleaned and they sent someone who did a very basic job without putting any toiliteries or towels. Linens were never changed and I stayed there for 5 nights. By the way, staff is also very grumpy. my advise is that choose a different property if you want your holiday to be enjoyable."
