Set in a pretty countryside village close to the North Devon coast is Braefoot, a two bedroom cottage sleeping up to four.
This two storey cottage is deceptively spacious with a good sized open plan living area, which is split into a cosy lounge with TV, a well-equipped kitchen and a dining area. Upstairs there are two tastefully decorated bedrooms, which are well laid out for a family, with the twin bedroom leading to the main double. There is also a nice family bathroom.
Outside guests can admire the countryside views from their own outdoor seating area, which is located in the shared courtyard. There are also more than four acres of grounds to explore featuring walks and two lakes, which are stocked with carp, rudd and tench (fishing available without licence - just bring your own rod!). Beyond this is a children's play area and a nice sized communal lawn.
Braefoot is located at Lower Aylescott where there are five other cottages of various sizes.
The cottages are situated in West Down just a short drive from the North Devon coastline where families can enjoy the golden sands of the award-winning Woolacombe beach, or alternatively the pretty coves at Lee Bay and Combe Martin, where children are guaranteed to love the rock pools. There are also several other nearby beaches well worth a visit.
The village of West Down is a great setting for a holiday with a nice shop selling day-to-day essentials, a church and a country pub. For further bars, restaurants and shops, Ilfracombe, Braunton and Woolacombe are all within easy reach.
