A very unique house which was great for a small group. Lots of farm animals around which added to the experience. If we ever need to rent a place again in or around Frederick, we'll definitely be looking at this house. Highly recommend.
We had over 10 adults stay in this great house for the weekend. The place was very nice and also nice interesting.
The owner was very accommodating and easy to work
It was so wonderful to see our teens all unplug and experience the property. They loved fishing and spending time with the goats. The outdoor shower was so fun for them too 😄 Thank you for an amazing stay. The house was nice and cool after hot days on the lacrosse field. We slept amazing. Truly felt like home away from home 💕
What a wonderful slice of life on the farm which we all enjoyed! The animals are quiet at night but happy to say hello and/or be fed some apples during the day. It is perfect for 5-9 adults, 14 adults may be too many because there is only one bathroom on the 2nd floor (accessible thru one of the bedrooms. The sunrise and night sky were gorgeous from the upper patio. Your group will love life in this renovated 1700s farmhouse full of patios, porches, fireplaces and firepits!
Thank you.
Fantastic location -- nothing soothes the soul like waking up every morning and feeding goats and horses, or petting Precious the Cat. If you're looking to spend a weekend in Frederick with friends, this is the place to be.
The Farm is a great place to gather and relax. Enjoyed the fields of Farm animals and wild life. The house itself was clean and had all the amenities needed. Easy check in and out- great owner to work with.
We had a family reunion/ thanksgiving/ and celebration of a 90 th birthday at the farm. We loved the property. It was very kid friendly we had toddlers ages 2-4 that especially loved helping feed the goats and hanging out in the playroom. For the adults we enjoyed the calm laid back atmosphere. We would definitely book again
We had such a wonderful time over the long 4th of July weekend. Jeff was very helpful and responsive, the property was clean, quiet and peaceful- everything we hoped for. The children had a great time swimming, fishing and petting the goats and horses. Thanks so much for a great experience!
Rented the farm to get out of the city and celebrate our 1 year olds birthday.
We had a great time and my kids and nieces/nephews from 1-12 loved the place and all the friendly animals.
Place is great and Jeff made the whole process easy.
The home was very spacious and provided a great spot for hide and seek with our granddaughters. Loved the huge screened in porch. The animals were a highlight of our stay. The adults enjoyed the outdoor shower and the children enjoyed the attic and playroom. We would totally recommend this house!
Everything was perfect!! Kids had a blast and so did the grandparents!! Even though it was really hot, the house and farm allowed for lots of activities. Loved the large and well-stocked kitchen. Outside shower was a huge plus!!! Thanks for sharing your beautiful farmhouse with us!
We had a great time fishing and petting goats and horses. Perfect setting, perfect weather and lots to do. Will likely return when baby is old enough to appreciate it. The 3 year old grandson loved it. Thanks!
We live in the DC area and were looking for something fun and different to do this Memorial Day with a group of friends in our 30s, some of who have kids and dogs. This was the perfect destination! The house is old and charming - of course there are some quirks but everything is advertised accurately. The property itself is beautiful - the ponds, the views, the animals, all wonderful. We had a great time and check in/check out were super easy!

Great place to stay
Our paint crew stayed here for a month, and had good things to say. This is a great place, very roomy with lots of areas to hangout and do things. The only drawback is the place is (supposedly) haunted. Owner Jeff explained the history to our crew, and after that the crew started noticing things to reinforce that belief. So if that sort of thing bothers you, be careful, might want to discuss with the owner before booking. Otherwise, a very nice place and owner Jeff was very accommodating.
We rented the farm as a gathering place for my daughter's wedding weekend. Bridal party got 2 nights and we parents got 2 nights to unwind. We had an amazing stay and loved every minute of it. Rehearsal dinner was fab, bridal party photo shoot was outside on patio and down by pond. Fireplaces were rolling all weekend. Plenty of room and Jeff was availabe by text at any time. We loved the animals! We are local but are already thinking up excuses to return! It really made the wedding weekend extra special, just what we wanted. Mother of the Bride
What a perfect way to get away from everything. Jeff’s farm was incredible. From the moment we arrived the kids were in heaven, petting the cat Precious, fishing, swimming, feeding the goats, watching the horses, games, puzzles!!! We had four adults and three kids and had tons of room in this beautiful home! The woodworking is gorgeous and the house was impeccably clean. I could have spent the whole trip on the porches just relaxing. Jeff was wonderful to work with, great at communicating and checking in to make sure we didn’t need anything. I wish we could come back and stay again! Thank you!!!
We had such a fun week on the farm. My husband and I stayed during the week and then had the grandkids out for the weekend. It was the perfect place to work - with a very fancy office an excellent WIFI. And then even better for the kids. We fed the goats and horses, fished, pet the cats, made Smores on the campfire, and found the secret playroom in the attic. But our favorite was just sitting on the back screened-in porch and visiting - so peaceful. We were a little concerned because there is just one bathroom on the top floor and it is in a bedroom, but we worked around it (there is another bathroom downstairs and also one in the outbuildings). Everyone agreed - all ages - that it was one of the best places we've stayed and they all want to return.
The farm was a perfect getaway for the holiday weekend. The goats, barn cats, horses, and geese provided a lots of enthusiasm with our grandsons who loved feeding them (the goats) and trying to find them (the barn cats). There was lots of exploring the property and observing nature. The house has everything you need, a well stocked kitchen, a large gathering room with comfortable furniture and a fire stove, play rooms in the attic with tons of toys and books, and comfortable beds and big bedrooms. The other two rooms on the first floor had a table for puzzles or for dining and a large office space with wonderful windows and a french door to a patio. (You have to be flexible with the bathrooms because the upstairs bath is in one of the bedrooms and the other full bath is downstairs off the kitchen.) All in all a property that has something for everyone!!
We had a most fantastic weekend on the farm! The house was spacious with modern amenities while maintaining the charm of its 200 year old origins. The weather didn’t fully cooperate, but the large covered porch was the perfect spot for our family to sit and watch the rain while the kiddos enjoyed the tic tac toe and jenga blocks. The location is perfectly situated within minutes of the city of Frederick and just a short drive from various wineries and breweries. We all enjoyed the farm itself…the goats provided lots of entertainment, the fields and barns gave the kids lots of space to roam, and everyone was excited to snag at least one fish from the ponds. The host was responsive, provided suggestions, and maintained communication throughout the weekend to ensure our happiness. We all agreed that this was one of the very best experiences that we’ve had! Many thanks to Jeff for making his home available!
Due to COVID-19, we were looking for a getaway that was not too far away from DC, but still felt like it was. Jeff's Farm was perfect for us. The farmhouse itself was very large -- lots of space. It had lots of charm, but still had all the modern amenities. The kids especially loved the large playroom upstairs and all the books, toys, and activities for them. The adults loved sitting on the screened in porch and relaxing. We all really enjoyed the flagstone patio and the firepit.
For us, the farm itself was the highlight. The land was beautiful. We enjoyed taking the rowboat out for a ride on the pond. It was wonderful being able to see and touch the goats and horses. They were all such friendly animals.
Chip really went out of his way for us. He offered to let us feed the goats and geese, which was super exciting for the kids. We are extremely grateful for his kindness.
Our stay at Jeff's Farm was truly a wonderful, unique experience that we will cherish for a long time to come.
