Welcome to Little Dairy Haven! This charming cottage is the perfect escape for a romantic weekend getaway, whether you're with a loved one or enjoying some peaceful solitude. As you step onto the property, you'll be captivated by its country charm, with each detail carefully crafted to reflect the history of the land as a former dairy farm. Little Dairy Haven is a cozy studio that provides all the essentials for a comfortable stay, including a plush queen bed. The kitchenette features a microwave, a hot plate, a standard coffee maker, and a mini-fridge. Stay connected with Wi-Fi and a TV, though please note the Wi-Fi is best for light browsing (a hotspot is recommended for streaming or video calls). The bathroom boasts a walk-in shower and a skylight, letting you gaze at the clear blue sky while you relax. Outside, the fenced-in yard allows your furry friend to enjoy the space alongside you. The hot tub, available year-round, is the perfect way to unwind no matter the season. Located in a historic farmhouse village dating back to the late 1920s, Little Dairy Haven is just a short 5-minute scenic walk through towering pines to town. This property has everything: charm, romance, modern amenities, a great location, and a meaningful history.

This vacation rental is equipped with a window air-conditioning unit

-Cancellations: Bookings canceled at least 60 days before the start of the stay will receive a full refund, with a $150.00 cancellation charge. Bookings canceled at least 30 days before the start of the stay will receive a 50% refund, plus a $150.00 cancellation charge.
No Cancellations are Allowed for November, December, and January.

- Pets: We do allow dogs, however, please note that there is a fee of $35 per dog per night. If you plan to bring more than one dog, you must obtain prior approval and additional fees may apply. When booking through selected third-party sites such as Airbnb, once your booking is confirmed, you will receive a payment request for the dog fee, which should be paid separately.

Check-in instructions: On your arrival day, the reserving guest will receive a text with check-in instructions between 3:30 and 4:00 PM. Please stop by our office to retrieve your key from the lockbox.

Parking: Free parking is available for 1 vehicle (Seasonal Restrictions Apply; chains are recommended in winter, and 4X4 is HIGHLY Recommended).

- County permit number: 001692

- Rental agreement: Please review our rental agreement for our house rules. You will receive an emailed version to sign, but if you prefer other options, please inquire.

Age restrictions: Due to the new County of Ordinance 927.2, we no longer accept reservations for anyone under 21 years of age.

- Seasonal wood delivery: There is a $25 fee per bundle (approximately 20 pieces) if available. Please provide at least 5 days' notice for a Friday arrival date or at least 3 days' notice for any other day of the week. Please note that there are no refunds for this service.

- Confirmation: Upon booking this property through Airbnb, New Spirit Vacation Homes will send you a direct email confirming your reservation. Attached to this confirmation will be a contract you need to review, sign, and send back within 24 hours.

- Incidentals: We reserve the right to request payment for any incidentals. This includes but is not limited to firewood, pet fees, special occasion requests, personal grocery drop-offs, pay-per-view movies or sporting events, and damaged property.

Guests booking this home under the age of 25 years of age will provide an additional security deposit of $250-$500 on the day of arrival, depending on the home

A mini fridge, hot plate, and utensils. Plenty of towels and an A/C unit inside. The hot tub was so great to have and made the stay extra special. The front desk service at check in and out was great too and they were very accommodating when we had trouble figuring out the outside lights for the hot tub. The place is also walking distance to the town which was an added bonus. Would come back for a quiet little get away again!

Quaint, clean enough and had some charm. Small kitchen, but nice to have a BBQ grill to work with. The yard, however, was something else. Overgrown, unkempt, with a creek running through it which flooded most of the property. Granted, I know it's been a wet year and the water is everywhere, but maybe a raking and weed whack would make quite a but of difference. Overall, we didn't think it was worth the money we paid, but hey, you win some and lose some...

Filthy! Spiders crawling on the walls, cob webs everywhere, shower that not only didn't drain, **** came up from the bottom, no TV or internet. They sent Amber over to fix it bit she couldn't so she told us to watch a "disk". Who travels with DVDs?? Fire hazard outlets, boards with nails sticking out, a **** heater that didn't get above 63 degrees in temperatures in the teens. You could get MERSA in that place. Absolutely should be closed down. Only one amenity worked.

This was absolutely, by far and away the most disgusting and terrible place I have ever stayed in my life. My husband and I wanted to get out of Los Angeles for a cozy, romantic ten year anniversary getaway. Check in isn't until 4pm and check out is at 10am. This place is around 100sqft and absolutely filthy! Why did we pay a cleaning fee?? Cob webs everywhere, spiders crawling on the walls, the fan blades are covered in thick dust, the "white" window curtains are stained and filthy and a dingy yellow color, the shower doesn't drain while you're using it and in fact, crap comes up from the drain. Other peoples, hair, fur etc... This place advertises soap and a TV. We had no soap in the bathroom and the TV is internet only. That was fine until it just shut off 10 minutes after we got there. We called and they sent someone named Amber over to fix it. After she she couldn't fix it she suggested we watch a "disk" for the night. My husband and I don't travel with DVDs nor should we have to when paying for this amenity. There was one DVD that someone had left which was "The Deer Hunter". I guess we were expected to have that on repeat until the following day. Amber said they'd send someone over the next day to fix it. No one came and no one called us. A heater that doesn't get over 63 degrees in overnight temps in the 20s and boards with nails sticking out. Plus fire hazard outlets! Close this place down!!

Usually when we go to Idyllwild we go tent camping, but we wanted a bit of warmth and comfort this time around - this cottage was perfect. It was cozy, clean, warm and the hot tub was fabulous. Location is great, quiet but easy walk into town center. Highly recommend.

Was mostly great. The cable worked the first day and went out after that and never came back. The shower doesn't drain well. Fills up when you shower and takes quite awhile to drain.

Cozy Cottage Perfect for Two (and a dog)
My husband and I took our dog to the Dairy Cottage for a quick weekend getaway. The cottage is small, but it was the perfect size for our trip. We spent most of our time sitting in the backyard with our dog or relaxing in the hot tub. There are other houses nearby but the fence and the trees create plenty of privacy. There is A/C in the unit despite the listing not mentioning it and the property office only referring back to the listing. Communication was a little difficult with the property office, but it seemed they may have been overwhelemed with a particularly busy season. They were also enforcing holiday hours for check-in/check-out time, which is fine except that was not made clear in the rental agreement. It was a overall a very enjoyable stay. We will definitely be back and will be looking for availability at the Dairy Cottage again!

Check was at 3pm told can get in sooner. Finally checked in at 4pm due to covid cleaning ???! *** cottage was not rented prior day.-told at check in jacuzzi is full of chemicals so wait to use it. Really ???? - Entering the cottage found flies all over the skylight screen and had to take the time to clear them all out. - Floor was dirty and had to sweep up. - found extra blankets with dog hair and dog bed dirty with dog hair and dirt from outside. - a day after check out me and my wife find a BALD spot on our heads. Found out it is ringworm !!! - our check in was later due to "covid" cleaning and we get ringworm for the first time ever. - i emailed new spirit and never got a reply at all. - this is really un professional "new spirit". I understand later check in times due to some obvious reasons but you had NO guest checked in prior. This was one of our worst experiences at a rental prop. Procedd with caution ! Reservation# 13051
