Clean and comfortable but noisy
Lovely hotel, clean and comfortable room. Easy to find and within driving distance of Idstein town centre. However, when we stayed there on a Saturday night there was a karaoke night on at what we assume was a bar close by, it was very loud until late at night.

Excellent value and service in a peaceful setting
Our family of 5 needed a place in the Frankfurt area to stay on our way from Munich to the Netherlands, and Hotel Lindner proved a perfect choice. We had a very tidy 2 bedroom apartment for an excellent price. The hotel has an idyllic setting in a tiny village. The view out our window was a little stream, bridge, and old tower. We arrived late, after autobahn construction held us up. After checking in we were driving around the village. Some friendly locals walking their dog flagged us down to ask if we were looking for food, and directed us to some nearby places. The owner was very accommodating and friendly, and provided an excellent breakfast. His English is a little better than my German, so communication wasn't too difficult. All in all, a very pleasant stay, and excellent value for money. We'd definitely visit again.

Nice little place
2 nights spent here over a weekend. The hotel is basic, and a little dated, but very quiet, and has good wifi and comfy beds. Room was only £28 per night too! There's nothing in the village itself in terms restaurants etc, but a 5-10 min walk down the road takes you to a nice little restaurant on the outskirts of the village. Be aware though- the road is unlit, and there is no pavement, so be careful!

Cute (not cutesy) hotel. Great if you have wheels.
Nice, very clean mom and pop place. Owner did not speak much English. Bar next door is closed. Wonderful restaurant about 1k out of town w beer garden on hwy 8, turn left from front of hotel and it's impossible to miss. Get Good directions to the place. Street address refers to a district/parish/county. Name of town of hotel is Walsdorf. Cab from FRA airport is €150! We rented a car for about 60 bucks and it was a nice little country drive.

Quiet family get away
If you're looking for a quiet family get away, Hotel Lindner may be the place for you. Located just off the main street in Idstein, there is a souvenir shop directly across the street. Beautiful walking trail nearby and pub around the corner. There was lots of sunshine when we went and this phenomenon was unexpected in a wet rainy February. We saw the proprietor once and that was at check-in. Given that we paid for a small apartment I was expecting access to a small refrigerator-or even one shared by guests in a common area. Luckily we brought a cooler. The rooms were clean and we were located at the very top of the building-lots of stairs to navigate. The plumbing leaves a little to be desired-lots of flushes needed to get rid of toilet paper. Towels were made available and comforters provided-these were a little on the short side if you are 5'8" or taller bring a blanket. Room temperature was comfortable during the day but fell drastically at night-the heaters provided did not combat the chill very well. Overall we had an ok stay with easy access to the mall and airport which made it better.

Nice place for a large family
I was looking for a place to stay for one night close to Frankfurt Airport since our flight was leaving early. Hotel Lindner offered an apartment for our family of five which worked great. We arranged a late checking by phone, which was no issue but we speak German fluently. Without a GPS we would have never found it, because it is really off the beaten path. Overall a great experience.

We requested a late check in due to our late scheduled arrival. We don't speak German, and no one at the hotel speaks English. However, two calls and one email got an extended check in until 10. Hotel way off beaten path. Fortunately, one pizza restaurant was open late in the next town so we were able to eat. More of a guesthouse than a hotel. We had the top floor. Plenty of room for our family of three. Good TV channels, comfortable beds, very quiet town. Certainly better than paying high prices in Frankfurt.

Der erste Eindruck war nicht so überzeugend (Gebäude, Rezeption). Das Zimmer selber war aber geräumig und sauber. Kostenloses WLAN ist vorhanden, haben wir aber nicht genutzt.

In der Buchung wird man darauf hingewiesen, dass nur bis 20:00 Einlass ist. Auf meine Nachfrage, ob ich auch später kommen könnte, bekam ich nur als Antwort, dann käme ich nicht in mein Zimmer, denn es wäre niemand mehr da. Schließlich wäre man kein 4 Sterne Hotel. Leute heutzutage würden viel zu viel Leistung für viel zu wenig Geld erwarten. Auch musste ich sofort die Übernachtung in bar bezahlen, bekam aber als Gegenleistung keinerlei Rechnung in die Hand. Während meines Aufenthaltes war die sogenannte Rezeption nicht besetzt und bei der Abreise war niemand anwesend. All das hat mich gelehrt, noch genauer die Bewertungen im Internet durchzulesen, denn für über 120€ kann man auch freundlicher behandelt werden.

Ett prisvärt hotell i naturskön omgivning.
Vi bodde på detta hotell en natt under vår färd från Sverige till Italien, rummet med dubbelsäng var trevligt och bekvämt, bra toalett och dusch, frukost ingick inte men det visste vi på förhand så vi hade det med oss, samt att vi fick tevatten från ägaren i vår medhavda termos. Samhället var trevligt och omgivningarna var mycket natursköna, Ett prisvärt övernattningsställe.

Simpel en eenvoudig, wel netjes.
Simpel, goedkoop en eenvoudig hotelletje. Eigenaar heeft humor. Alles is netjes en schoon. Erg minimalistisch. Voorbeeld: geen extra dekens of kussens op de slaapkamer. Kussen was erg dun. Ontbijt (EUR 5,00) was dik in orde. Warme broodjes, vers beleg vers gekookt eitje. Omgeving is niets te doen.
