"This was a wonderful place to stay! It was about a 40-minute walk to the city center, but there is a bus stop right outside and it was very quick to go downtown that way if you don't have a car. There are hiking paths in the huge park nearby and an excellent restaurant across the street serving Slovenian cuisine. "The property is located on a small street and there is almost no view of anything except the building across the street and there are way too many levels to negotiate. I was OK, but older people will find this inconvenient. The rooms are of a good size, very clean, with veranda. Not really kid safe because of open electrical outlets that kids can get into. "The room was nice and clean; the owner seemed a little put out at first because Expedia had overbooked us and she didn’t seem to happy. When we asked her about coffee in the morning she looked at us like we’d lost our mind! It all turned out fine and she had coffee for us in the morning for a small charge. "We have enjoyed our stay very much. Our only comment is regarding the way to reach property staff as we had no lights in one of the rooms and couldn’t get anyone on the phone. The gentlemen at the bar was very helpful and managed to contact the staff who promised to repair the lights the next morning, but that didn’t happen. This didn’t affect our stay very much but we wanted to highlight it."
