"The house really is as lovely as it looks in photos. It is small but perfectly sufficient for two people. The property is situated on a quiet street with many lovely independent shops, cafés and pubs nearby. Our host was also very friendly and helpful through the booking and check in process. "We stayed from 25th Aug-1st Sept. The property totally exceeded our expectations which were extremely high. The facilities are second to none, it felt like a home from home but in much more beautiful surroundings. Orchard House is very close to all amenities but secluded for peace and tranquility. There was a lovely offering on arrival in the form of a welcome pack, totally unexpected and a treat. The owners were friendly and chatted to members of my family. I cannot recommend this property...

"We had a lovely stay at Curlew cottage. Appledore was a great spot and we loved the walks and local pubs, shops and nature. The house was as described and we had a very comfortable stay. The view from the garden, over the estuary was special and we loved spending time out there.in all weathers. Communication with Stephanie was easy and we had everything we needed.Thank you!"

"This is a delightful property and our host was extremely helpful and friendly. We took our grandsons (aged 7 and 11) and were able to show them quite a lot of Devon. A big success was the heated swimming pool which they loved as well as the trampoline etc. Everything was great in the cottage and everything we needed. If fast broadband is a must you might struggle as with many rural areas it isn’t fast. However we highly recommend this property."

The location is stunning with fantastic views out across Dartmoor and direct access within minutes to some of the best walking in North Dartmoor. "I absolutly love the lodges. This was our 2nd year of staying at the Mole. My daughter particularly loves the hot tub. There is plenty of space to walk our dog too and an enclosed area where she can go off lead. Although this year there were a few disappointments. We were not left a doggie goodie bag, even though we had paid for our dog to stay. There were no robes in our lodge which are particularly useful when getting out the hot tub, so we struggled with drying towels for showers and hot tub...
