- The property does not have air conditioning
- This property features antique decor, including firearms that are not loaded. The guns are purely decorative and do not work
- Four-wheel drive or all-wheel drive, along with all-terrain tires, are required to access the dirt road to the property. The road does not have lighting at night and there is a half mile with 5 switchbacks
- The property utilizes a well. Please limit the length of showers and allow the well to recover between each shower, laundry, and running the dishwasher
- Your safety matters. This property features 4 exterior security cameras. Camera 1 is located on the garage facing the driveway, camera 2 is on the corner of the home facing the backyard, camera 3 is a Ring doorbell camera next to the basement door facing the outdoor entrance, and camera 4 is a Ring doorbell camera next to the sliding door facing the deck. The cameras are outward facing and do not look into interior spaces. The cameras record video when activated by motion

We really love this place. Definitely remote, a fun windy Road up the mountain to get to the location but once we were there, the views were amazing! We had everything we needed, and we love the peace and quietness of the location. Plenty of room for our family, And the best part was sitting out in the deck In the morning, and clearly anytime of the day… Absolutely beautiful

Awesome Place
Loved the property and all the amenities included with the place. Will say that you most likely need a vehicle with 4-wheel drive capabilities for the driveway up the side of the mountain with sharp switchbacks. Not necessarily a dangerous driveway but without the proper vehicle you are not making it to the cabin.

was very nice and loved the views, the road up to the location is not very good, the cabin was nice however we fought ants inside the house the entire time, when we notified the owner, just told us to spray some vinegar around , we left the property early.

You can’t beat the deck view with the mountains in the back ground. Beautiful place, drive way was a little sketchy. But we’ll worth it.

Wonderful trip! Amazing views
This house was great, with breathtaking views. Driveway requires 4x4 and an experienced off road driver though. pathway behind house is slippery but takes you to beautiful opening on the side of the mountain.

Beautiful mountain escape
We loved this very comfortable mountain escape. Wonderful views. It is well appointed and includes lots food staples to ease worries about cooking. The road up to it is fine for an SUV but if you bring your sports car you are going to be walking up that hill.

Great place!
Based on prior reviews, we prepared for the worst with the driveway. We got an AWD SUV and had no trouble at all. Can't say what it would be like in heavy rain or snow, but it was fine for our stay. Typical mountain road. The house was great. Clean, comfortable beds, well stocked kitchen. Patio was wonderful with nice grill, gas fire pit, beautiful view. Highly recommend.

Road leading to rental "insane". Couldn't drive up, owner used snow side-by-side to get us up to home. Stuck at house no access to our car. Couldn't walk down mountain because of snow with luggage. ( 1 mile where we had to leave our car) Large binder with Rules by property owner. Notes everywhere to remind you.

Pros: Good views, big house Cons: Horror movie type entrance pathway to/from the property. If you are a tourist just looking for a nice mountain/tree views in colorado, there are lots of safer options. If you are not a local used to mountains, and you show up at this address after dark or during bad weather, you may not make it back in one piece. The 'driveway' entrance is a one way half mile dastardly stretch of inclined rocky/muddy road on the cliff that zigzags without railings on the side. And at night you may not realize how close to the edge you are as it's totally dark. A few inches here and there and you and your car will fall off. Some of this maybe alluded to in fine print but this should be the very first thing in big letters potential customers should have been made aware of so they could plan and decie appropriately. There's no other alternate entry to the property. We unfortunately drove in from Silverton at night, barely survived the entry. Slept, and left the very next afternoon because we had a late night flight to catch the day after. So even though we booked and paid for 2 days, we only stayed there for 12 hours. There was no way we would drive from there at night. The house was decently kept but water from the taps would keep shutting off. Also didn't care for pages and pages of cleaning instructions. We are on vacation to enjoy and relax, not survive and clean and wondering if the water will be there or not.

Everything was good other than the fact that I had to call to get the updated garage code (host picked up right away thankfully) and the over-reliance on trying to control stuff from Alexa IMO is a bit goofy.

Elegant mountain retreat
Elegant finishes in this mountain top home. Obviously well loved and maintained. Beautiful views from the deck fire pit, living room, dining room and kitchen. Master bedroom view is stunning. Private, quiet and peaceful. Only sounds are from Fall River 1300 feet below and native birds. We are already planning our next visit!!!

Rough ride. Beautiful house.
We had 2 cars. One was an AWD CX5 and the other was a rented sedan. The drive from the road up to the house is a rutted one lane gravel drive up a steep hill meant for 4WD vehicles. The sedan bottomed out a few times during our stay. Glad it was a rental. Would not recommend to others to attempt with a 2wd car. You get rewarded once you arrive. The house is beautiful in every way. Lots of space for our group of 6 to spread out. Very nicely decorated throughout. Nice deck with great views of the surrounding mountains along with a gas grill and fireplace.
