This is a lovely property. The pool area is lovely to sit by however the water in uncomfortably cold. The breakfast are a feast for the eyes. Just wonderful and eating outside in the courtyard was a perfect start to the day. Our room was not what I would have preferred. The bedroom was upstairs and the bathroom downstairs. The bed was very low on one side making it difficult to get out of. Spoke with a young couple and their room was all on one level. The location is perfect. Right near all the restaurants and shops.
A nice converted sponge factory - an easy 5 minute walk from the ferry. Excellent breakfast. Nice staff. The pool is small but deep enough to swim in, not just decorative. The room was a decent size with a low wall to place luggage on. Decor industrial but nice, very clean. Ample water in room fridge. Enough power plugs. Slept well. Plenty of very hot water. Good shower. Relaxing. Good food and also near good places to eat. Ideal place to stay. Quiet.

Nice, tranquil, old-fashioned hotel to stay in Hydra town close to the docks and eateries. Some worn out out carpets and stairs to negotiate. No elevators. Help at front desk was OK but not outstanding. There is Nobody to help you around with extra luggage. Overall, a good experience to stay there if you are looking for peace and a drink around the inner pool amongst the bustle of Hydra town. A bit overpriced considering that the hotel is old and evidently not much has been invested on up journing problems with electric outlet (no blow dryer could be used in the bathroom in our room). Problems adjusting heat and cold water in shower and things of that kind. If not on Hydra, this would be a 2 star plus hotel.
The breakfast buffet was excellent. The pool was cool enough for those greek hot days. Drinks good, I thought a bit spendy. But i did many anyway. My only negative, i was not aware of all the stairs and no elevator. I'm traveling with a friend that uses a cane. Even a flight of stairs in our room to get to the bathroom. Beautiful place, i will return and ask for a lower lever room.
The pool and grounds were lovely and peaceful, the location great and the buffet breakfast fantastic.
Our room was a little small and bed not all that comfortable but overall I loved it.
The entire property has such a thoughtful and beautiful design, and I felt instantly at peace being there. Gorgeous antique rooms and common areas. Wonderful and helpful staff! Excellent breakfast buffet full of fresh local ingredients. Delicious welcome cookie and great room service, not that you need it - the restaurant has a lovely patio overlooking the pool and gardens full of trees and hot pink bougainvillea. My room had lovely Juliet windows that opened up onto this same interior courtyard, and in the morning you wake up to the sounds of monastery bells, chirping birds and a nearby rooster or two. Add to all of this the fact that the hotel is a five minute walk from the beautiful port. It was a wonderful experience and I can’t wait to visit again and maybe take advantage of the morning yoga classes and the local book club.

The old historic part of the hotel is beautiful. Wonderful history and elegant antique simplicity. The staff are sweet, friendly and accommodating. We booked one of the double rooms as it was all
That was left and these sit in the modern block. These small rooms are very simple, verging on basic. The bed sits on a platform with what felt like futon style mattresses which were incredibly firm/hard. The linen and pillows were great though. A few touches such as a mini bar and real coffee in the rooms would have been appreciated.

Amazing service and very kind people, very exciting swimming pool under the trees, delicious breakfast and food, but uncomfortable bed and dirty room.
We loved our stay at the Bratsera and even extended it from one night to two, changing rooms in the process. The rooms, common areas, pool and checkin were lovely, as were the staff. Breakfast was a high point and we really appreciated coming back to a dip in the pool after a day wandering Hydra or at the beach.

It was unfortunate.. Beautiful lobby and it created such a high expectation of the room. Front line staff were very nice. I love unique hotels and this was about to set the expectation of it and then we got in our room.. Air conditioning was not working properly, room floor was dirty probably hadn't mopped in weeks. The shower was leaking water as the seals on door was falling apart. I wish they payed closer attention to detail.
Our experience at the boutique was excellent, we had a great time, exploring the island and coming back to our little room with nice shower, air conditioning or relaxing by the freshwater pool. We had an amazing steak dinner the first night and I felt it was better than the other restaurants.
Amazing property in the heart of Hydra. Lovely setting with pool. We had the standard room which had a mezzanine floor for the bed- which was fine for us, but might not suit everyone.
Staff very friendly and very helpful . We actually left some items behind and they arranged to send to Athens , I hope I get to go back and stay again.

Such a gem on Hydra with a lovely, deep swimming pool.
The front desk staff is incredible - always willing to help with anything. Amazing breakfast spread.
This is the finest inn on the island for sure, especially if you love elegant, historic places.
This was the most beautiful hotel I have ever stayed at. The attention to detail in the decor was amazing. This is an old sponge factory that has been renovated into a hotel. It was quiet in the evenings and the staff were 10/10. We were there during very hot weather and the pool was a life saver during the hot days. The AC was cold in the rooms as well.
The location was 5 mins from the port and easy to get to. There are tons of restaurants and shops all in walking distance.
The included breakfast was also fantastic!
We will definitely stay here during our next trip to Hydra.

On arriving found Bratsera very easily - lovely setting and pool. Room was disappointing as not as the photos shown on Expedia.
Breakfast buffet could be chaos but there was plenty of choice of food.
Deposit required for pool towels.
On the whole a comfortable stay
Beautiful room in a historic hotel on a quaint and gorgeous Greek Island. Staff is very nice and helpful. We stayed in the suite which had a loft area which was perfect for our teen daughter.
