"👍 Like my review! We had a 2 night stay at "Te Wanaka Lodge" in Wanaka, New Zealand as part of our journey across the country. We chose the location because it was close to downtown, the lakeshore, eateries (including tons of food trucks), and even an awesome cinema. The checkin process could be improved since parking was difficult but earlier communication of a nearby public parking would be helpful. Nevertheless, the staff were lovely and kind showing us several of the rustic common areas (including a hot tub); then we settled into our room. Our room #2 had comfortable twin-sized beds and pillows, communal patio, desk with chair, accessible bathroom with key amenities (conditioning shampoo, body wash, hand soap, heated towel rack, ventilation, heating lamp, hair dryer), several outlets, television, iron and ironing board, and closet space. Since there's no private fridge, there's a communal fridge that is first come first served. There is also a washer and dryer on site for a fee. The internet can be slow at peak times but sufficient for email and navigation. The highlight was the delicious breakfast (included for a fee) where we had eggs Benedict with bacon on toast the first morning and scrambled eggs with bacon the second morning alongside a spread of bread, jams, peanut butter, museli (granola), yogurt, tea, and coffee! There was fruit in the afternoon along with coffee and tea. We would consider staying here again and would recommend it to friends and family."
