"We made a last minute reservation, looking forward to staying along the Mosel River, and were thoroughly pleased with this inexpensive, charming hotel. Our dinner in their dining room and the breakfast the next morning were excellent. The reception staff recommended that we explore the downtown area and the Bruckentor (old bridge gate), and especially the harrowing but rewarding trip up to the Ruine Grevenburg (castle ruins), and it was unforgettable. "Hotel ist zu Fuß schlecht zu erreichen, da der Weg an der Landstraße sehr unübersichtlich und gefährlich ist. Das Hotel ist in die Jahre gekommen. Allerdings sind die Zimmer und Möbel mittlerweile renoviert, bzw. neu. Das Bad war alt, aber sauber. Leider ohne Heizkörper. Ferner war die Nachtspeicherheizung im Zimmer aus den 60er Jahren und bestimmt nicht mehr ökologisch vertretbar. Das Treppenhaus und die Flure waren renovierungsbedürftig. "Very pleasant family run "guesthouse". Would be great for self catereing as well equipped kitchen, although also very well positioned for 15 minute walk each evening for dinning in Cochem. Parking is on road (cul de sac) outside house, never a problem to find a slot."
