"In planning this trip, I had no idea of where to stay, but wanted something conveniently located and central to everything. In Medjugorje, everything seems centrally located because it is so small. However, this hotel is off the Main Street and somewhat separate from the crowds, which is nice. The walk to St James was no more that 5 minutes, the walk to the foot of Apparition Hill about 20 minutes. We walked everywhere with ease!! Also in planning the trip, we started in the US, flying to Rome. We spent 2 nights in Rome before flying to Mostar. I contacted the Hotel and they provided a shuttle from the airport to the Hotel for 70 Euro (2 people, a return shuttle was also provided for an additional 70 Euro). I all I feel it was well worth the expense. The Hotel was excellent!!! Very clean!!! But the best part was the staff!!!!!!!! They were very helpful in all aspects of the trip. The coffee was excellent, with espresso/mocha machine in the breakfast room and at the checkin counter. The breakfast was good with eggs and sausage or just eggs. Cheese, ham and sausage were also sliced up and available. Fruit, yogurt, cereal, juices and small pastries rounded out the menu. In all, excellent!! Overall, will I come back and stay here, ABSOLUTELY!!!!!! "

"The hotel is within short walking distance to town centre. Walking to appariton hill and cross mountian is pleasant specially when the weather is cooler. The ladies in reception are very helpful. The staff at the restaurant for breakfast are attentive making sure there is always warm food and you have all you need. Have stayed twice in this hotel and will definitely recommend it to friends and family. Looking forward to our next stay."

"If I could give Hotel Herceg more than 5 stars I would. Everything about this hotel was amazing. From location to the staff. The hotel is at the heart of Medugorje. A very short walk to the church, nearby shops, and restaurants. My family and I walked to Apparition Hill which was about 25 minute walk (highly recommend to walk, see the houses, and the Divine Mercy statue & well), and we walked to Cross Mountain. A bit further but doable. The staff were amazing! Every person we met was friendly, hospitable, and extremely kind. Will not be staying anymore else if/when I come back to Medugorje. AMAZING AMAZING STAY ! God bless this hotel. "

"We had a nice stay in Pansion 1 (room 42 oct.13-19) just across St. James church. Stojan and Andjelko are very helpful and friendly. The chef is very kind she prepared our food with smile..the only downside is the parking just only 4 parking spaces. But overall it is great pension house. i recommended to our community and friends. Me and my wife are definitely back again here next year. Dennis&Emy"
