Stay Hue is a pretty basic hotel, more similar to a guest house. However, our room (603) had a fabulous view of the Perfume River, worth the room cost all by itself. The mattress could have been more comfortable. The air conditioner struggled (though in all fairness, the heat was extreme in April). On the other hand the room also had a robust wall fan which helped a lot. I've given only a fair rating for cleanliness because when we checked in, the floor felt very dusty and gritty. Also paint was chipping off the wall onto the floor. However, when I mentioned this to the staff, they were very diligent in cleaning the floor daily. The hotel is in a major tourist area but thankfully not on the noisy main street (Le Loi), easy walking distance to many restaurants and tour agencies. The staff were amazingly friendly and helpful, speaking very good English. In particular, Ms. Anh was very warm and made us feel especially welcome. Breakfast offered a pretty wide range of options, from noodles to crepes to omelettes. Each guest can choose one item and one drink. Delicious Saigon iced coffee! Overall, we enjoyed our stay -- especially the view!
