Not a fan?
This was odd. The livestock spend far more much time IN the house than I expected, resulting in much "tracking-in." I sat on the couch once - and it was wet. That was off-putting.
They clearly state that they allow smoking and vaping, so that is on me, but I didn't translate that into the intense smoke in the general living area. I spent as much time as possible in the bedroom with the door closed. I should have thought that through.
Frig in the kitchen is offline. They have provided a small dorm-style frig in the bedroom. Prepping food on your own is difficult as the stove/ sink are often overflowing.
There is supposed to be access to laundry onsite, but due to some kind of drain problem, that was not available. Plan was to snake the drain, but that didn't happen while I was there. I found a commercial laundry (Mr. Suds) within a couple of miles.
Bedroom was smaller than I anticipated from the picture. There's only couple feet around the queen-sized bed, so moving around was restricted. That said, it was a nice bed - and they ran to WalMart and bought fresh linens before I moved in (due to the laundry/ drain problem). As long as I kept the door closed, the smoke was isolated.
They do provide a nice flat-screen in the bedroom with a Roku account and access to NetFlix, etc. I ended up staying longer than I planned due to my car being in for repairs - so I binged a couple of series I had been wanting to watch.
There's a Denny's and Waffle House nearby - and to satisfy a need for more upscale eats - Sam's Beach Bar is outstanding. There's an excellent YMCA just up the road in Spring Hills.
If you are looking forward to a "beach" experience, not much is available in Hudson. The "Husdon Beach" is basically a waterfront area w picnic pavilions but no swimming access.
