Welcome to Cedar Key Village at Smith Mountain Lake, a charming 11 home waterfront community. This spectacular all Cedar Home is located on beautiful Smith Mountain Lake and is one of eleven homes nestled in a secluded no wake cove. We sit above the others cabins offering a spectacular view of the lake and mountains.

Cedar Key Village is part of a larger community called Cedar Key Estates. Most of the Cedar Key Estates are full time residents. Realtors have a waiting list of people who want to purchase in Cedar Key because we live on the largest no wake cove on the lake. It is over 60 acres. The mile long drive to to reach Cedar Key village is heavily treed, which offers a spectacular entrance into our resort, especially in the fall.. There are ten smaller cabins and our larger home that make up Cedar Key Village.

The entire house, decks, hot tub,patio and dock. I have one of the few homes on the lake where you can drive directly to the waterfront and your dock, perfect for bringin your cooler, food and water toys. It is also just a minute or so walk

Unfortunatly we are in a rural community which means you must rely on your car, no buses or subways.

Great stay!
What an amazing property! Our group enjoyed the serene location, beautiful mountain views and the quieter end of the lake. The house was well apportioned, we particularly enjoyed the spacious multi-tiered deck and hot tub which we put to use everyday. Highly recommend!

We had the BEST stay. Beautiful home, beautiful views. Such a relaxing getaway. We brought the pontoon boat, enjoyed the views, and the dock was perfect for our picnic. Great kitchen, bedrooms were perfect. Would not have asked for a better host.

Lovely home for family trip
This home is truly a lovely place for extended family, including your doggies. We had so much fun and spent some great time together as a family. The dock fit our rented boat and jet skis perfectly and the 4 bedrooms were great - including the one that is separate from the rest for some privacy. Will definitely stay here again!

Perfect Getaway
The property was just as listed and more! The location was perfect with its “No Wake” cove so the kids could paddle board and swim safely. We enjoyed sitting down at the boat dock every night, it was so beautiful. My whole family had an amazing time.

Great Girls Getaway
We had 2.5 glorious days on the dock and enjoyed the hot tub on the rainy day. It was fantastic to be able to drive to the dock. The living area seating was perfect for our group as was the large dining table. It’s wonderful to have linens, TP, and several other items provided. Our hostess was attentive to our needs, and we appreciated her thoughtfulness.

End of Summer Family werkwnd
What a wonderful lodge! We always come to SML after Labor Day ever year to enjoy the less busy but still warm and lovely lake! An added plus was being near Mitchell’s Point Marina where we enjoyed a delicious meal and great live music! We would def stay again! The kayaks and paddle board were a big hit too and convenient since they were right on the property. Thank you Alicia for your hospitality!

Fantastic weekend getaway!
We had a wonderful time at the Yowell’s log cabin lodge. Our family consists of 6 adults, one toddler and family dogs and the setting was wonderful for our getaway weekend. The view is spectacular and the home is very comfortable and well equipped. We were blessed with a picture perfect Nov. weekend with warm days and cool nights and the fall colors were still vibrant. Alicia was very accommodating and easy to reach. We are already planning a time to return!

Luxurious mountain getaway
We had a wonderful time in this gracious, lovely home with its beautiful view of the tranquil lake and mountains. The owners are incredibly available and responsive. As this is one of their residences it is fully equipped with top notch details, from kitchen to hot tub to sound system. We highly recommend this property!

Lovely Memorial Day Weekend
We couldn't have enjoyed this more. Fantastic view of a quiet part of the lake, private docks where we tied up the boats the owner rented to us, and all of that in a wooded neighborhood perfect for long walks, and a beautifully and comfortably furnished house with a very well-stocked kitchen -- we and the dog loved it!

The location and view of the lake can’t be beat. The layout of the house is amazing. Fireplace, easy access to lake, amazing decks (with gates to keep puppy safe). Make sure to rent kayaks from Alicia. So with it.

Family Time ... in Paradise
Our family trip was truly paradise ... the lodge exceeds all of our expectations ... all of the amenities were clean, the kitchen was completely stocked and the pantry, stocked with all cooking supplies. The bedrooms were spacious and the beds were so comfortable. The open layout allowed for the entire group to socialize while doing so many activities, playing games, eating, watching TV and quietly reading a book while enjoying the view ... as I watched my family enjoy our family time, I was so thankful that we were able to find such a beautiful place to make our memories.

Loved the lake house!
We absolutely loved everything about the lake house and our stay there. It was such a wonderful, relaxing weekend, and everything we could have needed was there for us! The view was amazing, anytime we weren't down in the water, we were enjoying the view from the huge deck. Alicia was easy and wonderful to work with, very communicative and gracious. Can't wait to go back for future adventures! :)

Easy Five Star Rating
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this Smith Mountain Lake property. The unit was well kept, had a great view, and the no-wake cove was wonderful. The Owner Alicia was an excellent hostess as she took the time to call immediately after we booked it and we had a long conversation about the property. She also kept in close contact providing information all along the way. We unfortunately had a short power outage when there and when we contacted her to see how we could report it, she responded within minutes, and then provided a link to the power company site with all the details so we could track the progress. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay, would highly recommend, and give it Five Stars.

Wonderful Lake Cabin!
We enjoyed this home on Smith Mountain Lake so much! This was a very comfy 3 bedroom 2 bath home with all of the comforts of home. I’m so glad we brought our own groceries for the first few days like owner suggested, so that we could immediately start enjoying the lake. Highly recommend renting the kayaks and paddle boards for lots of fun on the water. We cooked every single day and the kitchen was very well stocked. If you bring a dog, beware that ticks are everywhere outside. We checked our dog 3-4 times a day and it was necessary. Loved the home and we plan to rerun! Alicia was easy to work with and we had no problems at all. Thank you, Alicia!

Perfect place to stay at the lake
I can honestly say the pictures don't do this place justice. There is plenty of room here and the furniture and beds are very comfortable, clean and beautifully maintained. The views are stunning and the access to the dock was great. We drove down most days just because it was easier to pack up our stuff in the car for that days boating excursion. And when they say stocked kitchen that's exactly what it was. There was plenty of dishware and cookware but what surprised us was the fully stocked cabinet of spices, sugar, flour. There was even detergent for the washer and paper towels and toilet paper. Alicia was extremely helpful and had provided tons of information for activities and dining out while there. Highly recommend this rental and we plan on renting again. Our adult children met us here and stated this was the best vacation ever

Fab Family Gathering
Beautiful Lodge on the lake! Welcoming, warm, comfortable furnishings, living area is so nicely arranged with multiple seating arrangements, and oh my, the view!! Well equipped kitchen, updated appliances working like a charm. Everyone loved the beds, one of my family was actually looking to see what kind of mattress was on the bed, she had slept so well. The outdoor areas are top notch, plenty of seating, with beautiful views of the lake and Smith Mt. The hottub is amazing, fab stargazing in the evening. Dock areas are easily accessed by either road or stairs, with comfortable seating for 12. Kayaks were used by all ages, everything you need to enjoy the water. Don't forget your fishing poles if you enjoy throwing in a line. Kiddos and adults had a blast. Tons of wildlife, deer going by all the time. Owner, Alicia is wonderful to work with, called me the day before to inform me would could have early check in. This was so appreciated, considering we had family driving from FL, driving from MD, and flying from TX. Those of us driving were able to adjust and arrive earlier, and start enjoying this beautiful property!

The Jewel of the Lake!
What a delightful property. My husband and I stayed here along with some family members in late June. The setting is beautiful. A long, wooded driveway leads to the property making for a grand entrance. The home itself is beautifully maintained and well laid out. A large great room provides 2-3 different sitting areas. We had World Cup viewing in one area while other family members were able to lounge on large couches or sit in the recliners taking in the majestic views through the picture windows. Set in a former resort, yet, very private, we had access to a dock and some kayaks/canoes which we took advantage of. It was nice to be a quiet zone without fear of jetskis/speed boats interrupting our fun. The deck itself is an oasis of serenity and we all took turns on the hammock or just quietly reading/having coffee in the mornings. The owners were wonderful to work with, going the extra mile to recommend the optimal places to eat or rent a pontoon boat. They provide everything you might need.by way of dishes, appliances etc and great bathrooms! We had the master bedroom but everyone petitioned us to enjoy the large master bathroom and great shower. If you are seeking a relaxing escape from reality in a beautiful part of Virginia, then this is the place for you!
