Relax with the whole family and enjoy a cozy house just steps away from Friess Lake! Explore Glacier Hills County Park and experience the breathtaking views, wooded trails, and serene lakes and ponds. The park amenities include, a playground, hiking trails, fishing, kayaking/ canoeing, and much more!

The rental house is located just 150' from the Main Hall & Chapel, which often holds large events and weddings throughout the year (weddings often go until 11:00 pm - 12:00 pm on Saturday evenings and can be heard from the house). The house has 4 bedrooms and can sleep up to 12 people, a great place to stay for groups attending events at the park. There are 1.5 bathrooms, a laundry room, full kitchen, living room, and a private deck and backyard.

Great getaway
Really nice location with access to nice short hikes. Be sure to make the walk over to Wally & Bees, you won't regret it.

It was the perfect spot for us in the wedding party that was happening at the hall! It was spacious, excellently furnished, and everything we could have wanted! Super grateful for the space!

Large Family Get-Away
We needed a space to just hang out and connect as a family. The Ranger House was perfect. We were able to hike, play games, cook meals and just relax. It was a bonus to be able to have our two doodles with us too. We would definitely return.

The cabin was bigger and nicer than we expected. We and our guests loved the stay!
We rented this large cabin and several other cabins on the site for our wedding. Communication was great from the host. We easily accessed the space. It was spacious and clean. Best time of our lives.

We got married on the property and the cabin was the perfect location for us to spend the night. The bathroom area didn't appear to be thoroughly cleaned but everything else was perfect. It was also a very simple clean up.

Perfect place for our Family
Although the refrigerator stopped working the first night, the management (Samantha) worked to get a new one in. She was great to work with and we would stay there again. This location is at Glacier Hills State Park and the house looks cabin"ish" on the outside but is exactly like a four bedroom 1 1/2 bath house on the inside. It was very clean and had all supplies you would expect. Thanks again for your hospitality!

Good family get together spot
The ranger house is spacious with big kitchen, deck & living room, 4 bedrooms and two bathrooms. The deck is badly in need of refurbishing. There are sleeping cabins in the park so extra family members can join you. The path to the lake is hilly and the approach to the pier needs work. The kitchen did not have a toaster which was a real disappointment and we were unsuccessful trying to reach the host. There are a lot of pluses for this rental and we will probably use it again. The price & location are good.

Relaxing sanctuary
The home was well maintained and had everything that we needed. We took our family for the weekend as part of their Christmas present. 7 adults and 5 children (4 months up to 7 yo) and we all had a great time. The park was smaller than I expected, but for the ages of our grandchildren, it was perfect. It was very quiet. There was a very nice beach within walking distance. We all had a great time. Would recommend this property!

Wedding weekend
We were married at the chapel and held our reception at the hall so booking this was perfect. We did not expect it to be so wonderfully updates and huge! We even did an Easter egg hunt in the morning. This place is enormous and very clean.

Fantastic stay and wedding venue!
This was a magical place for my daughter’s wedding! The Ranger house is so convenient to the venue & chapel. The house is nicer than the pictures, it has been updated nicely. There was enough room for the entire bridal party and their partners. I even had room in the kitchen to put together the floral arrangements! We will be back for family vacation! Everyone we communicated with was great and really helpful.

Girls weekend
We had a lovely time at this property. The booking process and communication was amazing. The space was very clean and had plenty of room for all if our guests. The only reason for the 3 star check in, is because we just had a difficult time locating the house - I think we were overwhelmed with arriving maybe just a bit more obvious marker fir the cabin. But we had such an shading time and would definitely recommend this house for a large group!

Just what we needed
We were in town for our son's wedding. We needed a place that could hold a lot of people, allowed dogs and fairly close to the venue. This was the only place that fit the bill. Property manager was pretty much hands off. But everything we needed was available. Snowed every day and roads were kept clear. A little off the grid, but one of the best VRBO experiences we have ever had!

Convenient location
We needed a place close to Friess Lake and this worked well for our family group of 3 families. However, we found the place rather dirty. The air conditioner filters had not been cleaned in quite awhile, the sink had a few hairs in it when we checked in, and the windows were filthy. The kitchen was nice and large, the living room had plenty of seating. One bedroom was tiny with no AC. The other bedrooms had Ac.

Good place for extended family to gather
We were pleased overall. The description said the rental slept 12, but the beds available were only for 10. We would have rented an additional sleeping cabin had we known about them. We couldn't find a place for re-cycling. The pictures of the swim area indicated a roped off swim area which didn't exist or we didn't find it!

Pictures were accurate. If you have a large group would advise bringing larger pans for cooking as the ones here were small and limited in numbers. The water softener would probably help eliminate or minimize the sulfur smell from the water, however, there was no salt in the brine tank to make it work. So if that is a concern I would also advise bringing bottled water. We stayed here for my daughter’s wedding and it was very convenient. Also host was very prompt in response times.

Friends Weekend
It is surrounded by beautiful nature. The communication was excellent. The beds are very comfortable. There was a lot of room for the 5 of us. We spent a lot of time outside. We saw that the only chairs outside by the kitchen were benches so we brought our own outdoor chairs. The house wasn’t as clean as we expected. We brought our own drinking water bc there was a sulfur smell coming from the faucet. With that said, none of those things are a deal breaker; just something to be aware of. I would like to stay again!

Wisconsin wonderland
The pictures do not do Justice for this house this house this house is huge. Each room had an air conditioning unit. The house stayed so cool. It was great to have friends over and sit on the deck. The huge kitchen and livingroom accommodated everyone. It was a little peice of heaven. There was a basketball court and playground close by. There are kayaks abd paddle boards for rent right on the beach. The laundrey room was the best. We even had a tree frog on the window!! This place was super clean and there were no strange smells. 5 star!!!
