Normally I stay on the Moody Manor side because of price. Somehow the price was cheaper for Residence Inn by The Marriott, so I booked it and was super excited to see the difference between the two. I had lunch plans with a few friends in the area, I asked to check in early, they told me there wasn't any rooms, which is fine!
My lunch ended up being a little later than expected so I called to see if my room was ready.
The lady on the phone was outright rude.
So I apologized because maybe it was me, my voice comes off harsh sometimes. When I arrived she was still rude, my party has walked in with me because they wanted to see my room. The lady asked me rudely if my lunch party was staying with me, I informed her they weren't, we were just meeting for drinks. She told me I had to sign a paper for there could only be so many people in a room. I understood this, reasons why I booked a single bed and not a double.
The room was okay, but the bed hurt my back so much I couldn't move the next morning. I called and asked to transfer rooms and the clerk Cloe made this whole experience so much better! The new room smelt like smoke, I called and explained and he made a note saying not to charge me. Honestly if it wasn't for Cloe, I wouldn't have stayed another night. Thank you for making my experience a good one!
