Montrose District Guesthouse with Private Yard across from Cherryhurst Park

Beautiful 2 story guesthouse in Montrose, Houston's most walkable and hip neighborhood. Located directly across the street from Cherryhurst Park, this gem offers a quiet and private retreat, yet is walkable to scores of restaurants, bars and clubs.

The Museum District is a 15 minute walk. St. Thomas University is 10 minutes by foot. Downtown Houston is 1.4 miles away. Houston Galleria is 3 miles away. The Texas Medical Center and Rice University are 1.75 miles away.

A modern kitchen and living room are located on the ground floor. Living room features 55 inch LED SmartTV and a sofa which converts into a queen bed. Kitchen is fully stocked for those who like to cook or enjoy a glass of wine at the end of the day. There is a table with room for 6 in the kitchen. Washer and dryer are located on ground floor. The yard is fenced with a private entrance, shade trees, a hammock and a small dining table.

Upstairs are two bedrooms, each with a queen bed and a private balcony. The shared bathroom has a tub with a shower.

Across the street is Cherryhurst Park, a community park with tennis courts and canopying 100-year old oak trees. The guest house comes with tennis racquets for our guests' enjoyment.

Great Neighborhood

We stayed for 4 days and everything was perfect. Clean, organized, books to read, games to play, fun restaurants! Park was very peaceful right across the street. We will be back.

Short stay in Houston for the first time

Tony was incredibly helpful, flexible and a friendly host. He helped us a lot when we had issues with our reservation dates. The house is very cute and in a wonderful and extremely walkable neighborhood. We would definitely stay here again when we come back to Houston.

Comfy and convenient

The house is in a perfect location for us. Close to hospital district, food and shopping. Quiet neighborhood with good sidewalks for getting in a little exercise. The house was well equipped and comfortable. We will use again when in town.

Great location, great place to stay

The space was a wonderful two bedroom apartment with a spiral staircase leading upstairs to the two bedrooms. The apartment had everything that I needed from kitchen supplies to a gas stove to refrigerator. What I loved most was how accessible it was to amazing restaurants as well as the business meetings I needed to attend. There are many places in Houston where safety may be a concern, but this neighborhood seemed like one of the safest . For individuals, families getaways

Convenient To MD Anderson

We rented this pet friendly guest house because of the great neighborhood, the fenced yard and the close proximity to MD Anderson where my husband had doctor appointments We (and our pets) loved walking across the street to Cherryhurst Park with beautiful towering trees! Anthony is a great host, we had everything we needed and we hope to stay again in the future!

Weekend Stay

The property was exactly as it was listed and pictured. Tony took the initiative to confirm the reservation and was extremely responsive with any questions. Tony also took the initiative to let us know the property was ready early and to remind us of checkout instructions. The unit had everything we needed (toiletries, laundry detergent, kitchen supplies) as well as tennis equipment, and a welcome gift. I would stay here again and recommend it to friends/family.

Great Location

My family and I stayed here for a weekend vacation. It was a great place and we felt very safe in this area. Even the neighbors were nice to us as we went about our day. I would definitely recommend this location. My family kept raving about how grateful we were to have extra toiletries available and such clean linens. I would definitely recommend this location!!

Perfect extended stay

We recently stayed in this unit for an extended family Thanksgiving visit. The accommodations were ideal for the 3 of us. The house was very comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked -- plenty of cooking supplies, dry goods, coffee, etc. Couldn't be more pleased with what was provided. We had a couple of minor maintenance needs during our stay. The owner was very responsive and prompt in resolution. The location is excellent -- easy access to Rice University/Med Center, Galleria area, Heights, Downtown and all points between. We enjoyed walking around the Cherryhurst neighborhood.

Excellent accommodations

Great location, clean and comfortable property. We truly enjoyed our stay at this property. We stayed for 11 nights and found Anthony very responsive to any requests we made. Appreciated that Anthony left us some tennis rackets and balls to use at the tennis courts across the street as well. My sons truly enjoyed playing. I would book this property again any day.

Perfect Getaway

The photos do not do this space justice. It was absolutely perfect for my best friend and I to have a little getaway. The neighborhood is incredible and Tony couldn't have been more accommodating and wonderful as a host. I can't wait to come back and stay again.
