Such a unique and inviting space, we inly stayed two night but I wish we had stayed an entire week just to enjoy all the beautiful hand picked decor items the hosts brought back from oversees.Tim was an amazing host, and I will definitely be coming back to stay at the Cashbah again!

The place is beautifully decorated but there was a weird smell that took getting use too. The WiFi was super slow or sometimes it didn’t work. It was an ok stay just.

Unique and Amazing
We've never stayed in a place like this and probably never will again. It is lavishly decorated with authentic rugs, furniture and the like from the Middle East - it really feels like you're in another country. Our hosts couldn't have been more welcoming or helpful - if we return to Houston, we'd certainly look at staying here again!

We spent a wonderful weekend with friends here. The decor is amazing, the hosts were welcoming and the location was fabulous. The place is full of artifacts from around the world and great lighting. We loved the vibe and we will definitely be back!

Beautiful cottage
My friends and I had a girls trip down to Houston, and this boho cottage was the perfect home base to explore the city. It’s beautifully decorated and Phil was a great host!

Cool Place - Great Funky Neighborhood
Loved it. Look at the pictures - the place could be a museum of Moroccan artifacts. Loved the outdoor furniture and pool. Perfect for a getaway and you won't feel like you are in a big city. Fabulous restaurants and shopping right there.

Lovely Moroccan paradise. From the green and red lanterns to the lovely rugs throughout, it was a nice getaway. Located in the Montrose area, there's lots of restaurants and shops. Thanks for everything!

Very unique property. Feels like you are walking into a bazaar in the Middle East(which is a compliment). Lots of couches to use for sleeping arrangements and the pool is great for cooling off. Property owners were very friendly and concerned with our comfort. What a great spot!

TWANNA'S MONTROSE BIRTHDAY
Cottage was bohemian chic. I mean, if you don't enjoy beautiful color fabric, amongst vintage art and collectibles from sultans themselves. Along with their own mythological spirit aka, magical genie in the lamp. Then you won't like Boho. The courtyard is just as fabulous, and the pool is crystal clean. Montrose was an easy to walk, to stores and restaurants.

A total blast!
My three friends and I rented the Casbah for the week so that we would not have to make the miserable commute from Spring down to our training at Rice (and back) during rush hour. The location was perfect for us, the owners were beyond accommodating, and the Moroccon decor and pool (with hot tub) were really beyond description. We hope to rent it again next year!

Awesome experience
Hosts were very responsive. Beautiful little home. We had everything we needed. Loved all the decorations. Very comfortable bed. Lots of TV, gorgeous bathrooms. Very convenient to lots of restaurants, grocery store etc. definitely returning to this gorgeous little home. Thank you for a wonderful stay. We did not get to enjoy the oil but it was super adorable and will definitely use it on our next stay weather permitting.

Moroccan Getaway
Spending several days with our 8 year old grandson and 4 year old granddaughter during their Springbreak. Picked this VRBO on a whim. Very bohemian and the kids loved it. Too cool the days we were there to take advantage of the pool, but looks just like the pictures. Note: kitchen has a microwave and toaster oven + an electric griddle in a box, but not an actual stove. We enjoyed our stay at the Casbah 🌙 and the decor was one of a kind!

Adorable Home
I loved the home. Excellent access. The decor was incredible. King size bed was super comfy. Our guest said the twin beds were comfortable too. Loved having 1 bathroom upstairs & 1 downstairs. Perfectly equipped w fridge, coffee baker & both floors. Big TV’s in each room. Loved the pool & jacuzzi but we were not to enjoy since the weather was cold 🥶. Hots were very attentive. Plenty of towels, hand towels & wash cloths. Super close to lots of great restaurants. Very close to Rice U which was our main reason for the visit. Highly recommend for anyone looking for AirnB close to Rice.

Family Getaway
Very unique property with lots of flair and antiques, from around the world. The pool area was amazing and relaxing however, a hot plate would’ve been nice… if you want to cook with more then a griddle but really there’s no need too!! There are several great restaurants within walking distance of the property. I would highly stay here again!! But I’d suggest that they have a pest control company come out for pests like little sugar ants, mosquitoes and other insects… I just made sure everything was closed and kept in the fridge.. but that is part of life and insects live in Houston too… We really enjoyed our stay and the pool area and looking at all the neat stuff in this home as we explored this Montrose Casbah !!! I would recommend it to adult’s looking for a good place to chill and enjoy the nightlife within walking distance around them!!

Exceeded our expectations! Beautiful and exotic!
My daughter, grandchildren and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The apartment is beautiful! The photos really don't do the apartment justice! So many amazing details. There is also amazing clothing that we tried on for fabulous pictures. The heated pool and spa kept the children entertained, myself included. It is located very near the museum district and walking distance to local restaurants. It is in a beautiful older neighborhood that is undergoing many restorations. We will stay here again and highly recommend this property. Tim was a fabulous host. This apartment is well appointed...but not designed for much cooking...which suited us. There is a full sized refrigerator and a washer /dryer. Microwave and a hotplate for cooking. There isn't an oven or stove.

Magical Feast of Earthly Delights
This space was a visual, textural and architectural delight during my brief weekend interlude in Houston for a dear friend's baby shower. Tim's vision for the Kasbah is one that has become increasingly rare in these times, wherein minimal/modern and neutral outposts are all the rage. The whimsical interiors transport guests to distant places and times, encouraging imaginations to spark and spirits to unwind. Amenities are plentiful and the main guest bed was also quite cozy and comfortable. The pool and poolside deck were lovely. I work a corporate job and found it very easy to allow myself to be transported away from the hive-mind and rat-race, simply sitting, drinking-in and soaking-up the place and the culture nearby. This venue is not for everyone's taste, but I found it to be exactly the right kind of magic I needed during my brief stay. Highly recommend and hope to pass through again one day. Thank you for sharing your art, creativity and appreciation of time, history and humankind with with the world, Tim!!

Unique place in great neighbourhood
We really enjoyed our stay at this property. The uniqueness of the decor was a nice change from sterile cold hotel rooms. The work put into the decor is obvious and amazing. The pool and deck area were a great refuge to sit and have a morning coffee, evening cocktail as well as enjoy the pool itself. We were there end of Feb/early March and the pool was plenty warm enough to swim. The hosts were very friendly and we enjoyed chatting with them when they were walking through the pool area (they have access to another area through there but in no way was it disruptive). The hosts were respectful of our space, they don't use the pool while you are there. The neighbourhood has gorgeous houses, has lots of things to walk to. As we traveled through Houston we realized that there are nice areas interspersed with some more questionable ones but the area around this property felt 100%safe. The central location of this place always makes it easy to get to many museums, parks, restaurants and also easy access to the freeway to get to other places. Would highly recommend this property if you want something different to come back to at the end of the day...it's like two vacations in one!

Complete honest review
Place was amazing! Such a fun and unique vibe and you can tell the owners spent a good amount of time and money with it. The pool was also great and we used everyday. Complete walking distance to many of the places we had on our list and definitely in a safe part of the the neighborhood. Communication was honestly the only flaw with the stay. It was very hard to get in touch with the host via email/ text/ call and nothing was set up prior to assist with entry the day of. Messaged and emailed several times when we were arriving for instructions and had to go get lunch and wait to finally hear back. Also one night we were locked out of the gate, nothing said anywhere that the gate would be locked and again could not get ahold of anyone with calling, texting and even ringing the door bell. (Granted yes it was around 1am) eventually had to have someone jump the 10 foot fence to let us in the other side. I would still highly recommend staying here, just allow enough time for long waited communication with the host. Evolve who sets this up was also not much help, just forwarding the host’s info.
