I booked a double queen for this hotel and paid ahead of time. We checked in, got to the room, and it was a single king. I have 3 kids so that didn’t work for me. I called the office and then apologized but then said they didn’t have any other rooms. When I asked about a refund to get another hotel for the night, they said they couldn’t do that because the manager wouldn’t be in until morning so I’d have to talk to them then.
We then went through Expedia to try to get a refund and they told them the same thing. As I was on hold, we saw a cockroach that my husband promptly killed on the alarm clock.
We had no option but to stay. The only saving grace is that there were not bed bugs. When my husband went to get bedding for the pullout couch, they said they accidentally locked the cabinet with bedding and gave him a random assortment of sheets.
The pool was filthy so my kids were disappointed that I told them we wouldn’t be swimming this trip. The entire hotel was in disrepair. The hotel was missing tiles and the lights on the buttons didn’t even work. The whole hotel smelled like mildew and there were fire ants all around the back of the building.
When we got to breakfast hours before it was over, everything was empty and they took a long time to refill it. The sausage was undercooked and the whole stay was subpar.
I want my money back. I will never be staying here again.
