Not recommended!
Our room had the bare minimum , no wifi even though room was advertised with wifi , no amenities in the room apart from two small bottle of water . Mattress was so uncomfortable and tiny , even for two ladies . We couldn’t open the windows to get some fresh air and cool it ( there’s no fan or AC and weather was warm ) due to the mosquitoes on-site. There’s a pond near the house and apparently this is why there’s a lot of mosquitos. Even though the host is aware of that ,there was no intention to provide a net or a repellant . Also , a huge fight broke with another guest at 11 pm and violence and shouting ended with someone breaking a door , which made me an my friend ( female travelers ) feel very disturbed and uncomfortable . At no point , when this subject was addressed at check out, the host took accountability. A brief apology message was sent the night before and that’s it. No good will gesture at any point. Terrible handling of the situation , very basic and was a quite sleepless night . Not recommended .

Lovely, friendly hotel
Lovely place, good location. Clean comfortable room. My only issue wasn’t with the place itself but with the thin walls which meant I could hear the next room flush the toilet and their children having a meltdown. I know the hotel can’t help the way others manage their children but it did affect my stay.

L'auberge est située au calme , pas loin du bourg de Houlgate , possède un restaurant. Les chambres ont leur charme avec le bois. Petit bémol , on entend les voisins dans le couloir. Très bon restaurant qui possède une terrasse extérieur.
