Welcome to a cozy cabin with a beautiful lake view and just a few minutes walk to the shore of Houghton Lake. This cabin is the perfect place to enjoy time with your family. The kids will love the outdoor space complete with grill and firepit. Enjoy the firepit as you plan your day trip to nearby areas including walking to Houghton Lake, or a quick drive to Higgins Lake and the AuSable River. There are wonderful hiking trails and beautiful parks and beaches in the area as well as over 200 miles of ORV trails.
About the Cabin: Located off the main drag, this cabin is across the street from road end access to the lake. This gives you great views and a quick walk to enter and exit the lake at the public access road end. This 3-bedroom 2-bath cabin makes an ideal stay when you head up north to enjoy nature both on and off the area lakes and rivers. Bring your boat, kayak, snowmobiles, jet skis or ORVs to explore the area and have great adventures. There is room to park at least one trailer along with two other vehicles. When the sun sets, rewind back at the cabin with a bonfire that overlooks the lake or watch the SmartTVs/Rokus with your personal log ins.
The dining area has six chairs with a bench to accommodate at least two more. The table does extend. With a hunting cabin vibe, comfortable beds and A/C. There are two full bathrooms with showers (both on first floor), a full kitchen with a Keurig coffee pot.
Amenities:
The patio furniture on the back deck has cushions stored in the nearby deck box.
Propane-operated grill is on back newly-refinished back patio.
More chairs are stacked for use around the campfire.

Room to park 3 vehicles or two vehicles with a trailer.
Guests have access to the entire home.
Unattached garage is locked and not part of rented area.
There is an additional fee and information required for a pet.
Lakeview: Lake is visible from inside home and firepit area.
Lake access: Located across the street, the lake access is public road end.
Road end lake access allows you to enter the lake for swimming, kayaking and to access boat.
There is no boat mooring or docking.
There is a DNR public boat launch less than 5 minutes away.
Restaurants: Numerous area restaurants are available just a short drive. Coffee shops and ice cream shops are also close by. A list with addresses is available in Guest Book.
Stores: Walmart is a short drive away as well as numerous party stores, gas stations and gift shops.
Day Trips: There are lots of great places within an hour or two drive including Traverse City, Mission Point (great place for wine tastings), AuSable River (great fishing and canoeing), Higgins Lake South Shore Beach, Grayling, Roscommon, Mackinac Island, Petoskey, Cheboygan and more.
