About this property

Glamping at Horse Hollow Farm Renovated Corn Crib

Enjoy a unique rustic stay in a spacious, renovated farm building on a beautiful farm sanctuary. Nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains just 4.5 miles outside of Hot Springs, NC, our open-air cabin boasts comforts such as a king bed, kitchenette, electricity, & private heated outdoor shower. While reveling in the peaceful ambiance from the adirondack or swinging chair, you may decide to wander wooded trails or enjoy a complimentary meet & greet with resident farm animals in the surrounding meadows.
The space
Horse Hollow offers the ultimate glamping experience with creature comforts galore, cozy indoor and outdoor spaces, and an outdoor heated shower and sink. The Buckskin Cabin is an open-air, historic and renovated "corn crib" where corn was once dried to feed livestock. The restroom is a new and private composting toilet solely for Buckskin Cabin guests.

The Buckskin Cabin is located in the middle of a gorgeous field with long-range views of the pastures and farm. Next to your 13-acre pasture, you have access to the 13 acres of wooded trails and creek to explore as you wish. Inside the cabin, you will find beautiful Ash wood slabs and weathered tin from the property, and a screened in area to protect your bedroom and living room area.

Lounge around with French pressed coffee and a game of Scrabble, or grill and cook marshmallows over the campfire at night. Don’t miss the stunning array of stars and Milky Way galaxy from just outside your door in this remote valley.

Horse Hollow Farm is a “mixed use” property aiming to do good for the community! We provide pasture rental and cut hay for local farmers and a refuge for rescue horses. Since discovering unique fireflies on the property, we have initiated spring firefly conservation practices and aim to spearhead a dark skies initiative to protect our night sky and wildlife. We plan to provide farm tours and equine experiences in the coming year.
Guest access
Guests can access approximately 20 acres of the 26 acres of the property, depending on where horses and sheep are grazing.
Other things to note
Pets are welcome but must be leashed while outside the cabin.

While the Buckskin sleeps 2 people best, guests may bring a pad or air mattress and personal linens and blankets for additional guests or children.

Peace in a valley
My wife is taking online photography classes and this location made for some truly stunning shots. The solitude and quiet were much needed, but town was close enough for social life.
