It was the only overnight accommodation that we could get as the motels were booked out. The old hotel would have been the choice place to stay 60 years ago, but with a hot night and no air conditioning it was uncomfortable in spite of the fan. Also the ladies toilets needed some simple maintenance.

Checking in was at 5 pm. we arrived at 5.30/5.45, and our room was still getting cleaned and was not ready. Pub turns into a nightclub. And it is open till 3am.

Great budget option for a one nighter, if all you need is a room with a bed this is it. Can’t fault it for the price, have stayed before prob will again. Although A decent pillow would be a great addition. Bar staff at check in very polite, professional and helpful.

The food was amazing. Best surf and turf I’ve ever had and my partners roast pork was the best she’s ever had. The owner and staff are fantastic to meet and talk to. Bed was extremely comfortable. It’s a shame we live 5 hrs away, otherwise we’d be going there for dinner more often.

This is a nice old pub in centre of city. As clean as an older building can be. Staff friendly and helpful. Possibly slightly over priced for what you actually get but would stay again.

Didn’t like the common showers and toilets. Smoking smell in the toilets. Noisy cars in the streets most of the night and faits in the streets about 2 am that scared the kids. It was cheep and now I know why.
