The house and accommodations are absolutely beautiful and very comfortable. We wanted for nothing. We were a group of 9 and had plenty of room to spare. Each person had a fabulous time. The host Eileen was on top of everything. She was very responsive and helpful. We had a few questions to which she provided spot on advice. Our entire family fully recommends this property; a dazzling star!"

"Staying in a newly refurbished room on the 3rd floor, everything was fresh and clean (though the pattern on the new carpet makes it look a bit threadbare in places). The fish and chips dinner was large and well cooked but the apple crumble dessert was disappointing as it was a small tart that seemed to have just been warmed up in a microwave and the ‘smudge’ of custard on the plate was barely enough to fill a teaspoon. Breakfast was plentiful and top quality, service for both dinner and breakfast was excellent. "

"If you want a taste of true rural Ireland, this is the place to stay. The Thatch and the Shed are both beautiful, modern, clean and highly kept up. We used this property as our home base for day trips to Kilkenny, Callan, Waterford, Wexford, Glendalough, Blarney Castle, and Kilarney. "
