Just really dirty hotel, almost shockingly so. Staff are friendly enough but the cleaning staff are non existent. Breakfast is left out for the duration so if you don’t mind sharing your food with fruit flies or whatever else may fall on it, then you’re ok (literally just a bit of cling film would solve this issue)

The property was good but would benefit from a refresh. The staff were excellent and really helpful. The food was also very good. My only complaint is aimed at Expedia (not the hotel) - I needed to make changes to my booking but despite hotel staff efforts we failed. Next time, I will book directly with the hotel.

Nice friendly place to stay
i was working as a photographer at reading festival and stayed at the raven hotel over the august bank holiday weekend the hotel is clean and tidy and the management and staff are all very friendly and helpful the breakfast is also very good and has a nice selection of food to choose from,the bar downstairs has a decent range of beers and sometimes has entertainment at the weekends which also pulls in a nice friendly local crowd, i would definitely book this hotel again
