Escape to this nice family-friendly house in picturesque Lake Cushman. This modern retreat features 3 bedrooms - 1 king, 1 queen, 1 queen with twin bunk beds, and 1 twin bed in the second living area, along with 3 bathrooms equipped with all the essentials. With heating, AC, WiFi, and more, guests will have everything they need for a wonderful stay. It's easy to see why you'll be able to unwind at our place. This house is the best of both worlds, you feel like you’re in the trees and secluded in the forest but less than 5 minute walk to our private division lake park with lake and boat access. Please note the main living space, kitchen, master bedroom and bunk room are on the top floor. Beautiful large windows to view out into the woods.

Spacious home with over 2000 sq ft of living space in the highly desirable Division 1 of Lake Cushman. Division 1 is centrally located on the lake it's a 5-minute easy walk to the park and a 2-minute drive to the boat launch plus the Viewpoint Lookout is 1/2 mile away.

We have a fully stocked kitchen with everything you'll need for a quick meal for two or a gourmet family feast. The kitchen has white maple shaker cabinets, black granite countertops, and all stainless-steel appliances. 36" farm sink, ice maker, purified water. Keurig with k-cups provided, traditional coffee maker, blender, toaster, very large roaster oven, crock pot, 3 sections food warmer, counter grill, mixing bowls, and some spices.

Whether you come with your kids or fur babies we have many extras you won't have to pack with you. The house has a pack-n-play, high chair, baby gates, and more for your visit. Along with a dog bed, food dishes, and an XL crate if needed.

Dog Friendly: we LOVE dogs and love traveling with them. So bring your well-behaved furry friends. Just keep the barking down to a minimum for our neighbors! We charge a $150 NON-REFUNDABLE pet fee per pet.

We have 2 Kayaks free for you to use. They are available on-site and already put out for your use. There are two travel carts to walk them down to the lake. Use of these items means guests accept liability for any potential injuries and accidents. There is an assortment of balls to play with or take the the basketball court at the park along with life jackets in every size from toddler to large adult. There is a boat launch 1 minute drive away or 5 minutes walking from the house, Golf Course nearby, a playground by the lake, a large outdoor covered barbecue area by the lake, house has a barbecue on back patio, a large fire pit out back, outdoor chairs, wireless karaoke machine works off blue tooth connecting your phone, outdoor lights in the backyard, living room 65" TV, master bedroom 65" tv, 2nd bedroom 32" tv.

Relaxing Stay by the Lake
This summer we wanted to book a comfy lakeside home we could use as a "basecamp" for outdoorsy fun and this listing absolutely delivered on that dream! The house was extremely comfortable for multiple adults and pups, had many amenities, and was situated in a quiet, wooded neighborhood. Being so close to the Olympic National Forest meant access to plenty of diverse hiking trails while still being close enough to Hoodsport to make grocery shopping and an evening eating out quick! Our hosts were also very communicative giving us plenty of heads up on what to expect when we stayed on the property and clear instructions for checking in and out. Highly recommend this listing!

Was very quiet, we were there during weekdays, House was spacious enough for 8 people, played a board game one night and a movie night. Beautiful home, great location
This is a beautiful home very close to a variety of activities. Plenty of space for a family to spread out, or get comfortable together. Easy check-in and great communication. Nice that we had access to TV, Netflix etc. Perhaps because we went off-season but a few things fell a bit short for me. First there was no propane for the grill and the grill looked like it hadn't been used for a while (needs cleaning). The host did offer to reimburse us if we went to get the tank refilled. The outdoor firepit was awesome, but had a dozen or so cigarette butts in it - not very appetizing to toast s'mores. Check-out was more stressful for me than usual because we learned after booking that the expectation is that you not only start the towel load wash, but you need to wait until it completes and start the dryer. I have no problem starting a load of wash, but having to wait for it to complete (and not knowing how long that would be) was no fun. Again the home is beautiful but for what we paid I was a bit disappointed with these shortfalls. Good news is should be easy to fix.

Awesome getaway location
House is incredible, as pictured. Location is awesome - we took a short walk to the lake, which was beautiful. House is situated so it feels like you're well in the forest but Hoodsport is just a short drive away. Very quiet here! Danielle was super easy to communicate with and responded very promptly, and she was exceptionally gracious when we had car trouble trying to leave. Could not ask for a better host! Would definitely rent again!

We enjoyed our stay. We had small children in our group so we bought an adjustable baby gate for the top of the stairs which we left there in case you are in the same situation. Lovely, quiet neighborhood. Small store close by, but went to Shelton for most of our groceries--about a 25 minute drive. Lake Cushman just gorgeous!

Lovely home with wonderful lake access!
The home was very lovely with every amenity you could want. The beach and swimming area is an easy walk away. As a permit is needed for that area, that part of the lake wasn’t too crowded, even during an August weekend. The communication with the owner was absolutely fantastic. 4 nights went by in a blink, it felt like we had just arrived when we were leaving! Thank you for sharing your lovely home!

Lovely Summer Getaway
Perfect location within a short drive to Hoodsport and easy walking distance to the lake , even for the littles. Great swimming area with friendly folk around and beautiful views. Home is spacious and clean and newly updated with excellent, well stocked, kitchen. Loved the separate areas complete with bathrooms for family to spread out. Our hostess was an excellent communicator and truly cares about guest needs. Highly recommend! Thank you.

Stunning Lake Retreat
This lovely home was a very comfortable retreat for a family gathering of five adults and two small children. The lake was a short walk and was simply breathtaking. The common area at the lake includes a lovely playground, barbecue area and plenty of beach. The home was very warm and inviting as well as spotlessly cleaned. The best were comfortable, kitchen well appointed, and a really relaxing outdoor space with fire pit. Definitely well taken care of home and the hosts were great to work with. We hiked some lovely spots nearby including beautiful staircase. Great location for many gorgeous hiking destinations.

Scenic outdoorsy retreat
Beautiful property surrounded by trees with amazing window views and short walk to the lake with spectacular scenery. We saw deer everyday right outside the house and it was only a short drive into the National park for great hikes. Danielle was attentive and her home was perfect for our family.

Great location, challenging with baby and large group
We had a great time visiting with our four kids and my aunt and uncle. The lake and nearby beach are absolutely stunning! Great little playground, picnic tables, floating dock - just gorgeous! It was great to have the kayaks and wheels to shuttle them back and forth - my kids loved them! The house was well appointed with plenty of towels and kitchen tools for the most part. The house though wasn’t great for a one year old. There is no baby gate to block the stairs. The host suggested using the dining bench to block but with a walking baby, he would have easily flipped over the bench and fallen. There is also one section of the stair railing spindles that did not seem like they could be to code. The spindles were very far apart and my baby could easily fit through. I had to come up with creative ways to block both which wasn’t ideal. We were also staying with my aunt and uncle who stayed in the bedroom downstairs and unfortunately they weren’t comfortable. The room acted as kind of an echo chamber for everything happening up in the kitchen / living room which meant they were up with the baby everyday. I’d make sure to put light sleepers / anyone who doesn’t want to awake with the first risers in an upstairs room. We were 8 people including 4 little kids and were charged an extra guest fee which drives me crazy. The property is listed as sleeping 8 and we didn’t even use all the beds. All in all it was a great trip and the area is beautiful!

Overall the place was nice. Finding out there would be a list of chores after check-in put a cloud over the stay. I understand the no shoes but then to go out on the patio from the kitchen requires you to go down the stairs to get your shoes. A curtain on the smaller window in the main bedroom that faces the living room would be helpful because the light glares in from the living and kitchen areas. WiFi was spotty, but the homeowner was very helpful. The lake access and kayaks were a highlight as was the fire pit in the evening. The kitchen had a nice supply of essentials.

Just a lovely home for the entire group. The listing had not been updated to show only 2 kayak's at the home. We probably would have chosen differently had we known, (Double check with owners before you book) An animal of some sort got into the garbage cans that hadn't been put out so the mess was a lot to clean up. Overall a beautiful area & home.

Great family getaway
This area is great to visit anytime of year. The house is beautiful and a short walk to Lake Cushman. I went with my partner and 6 kids/teens and 2 dogs. Everyone had a great time. If you like Oysters, I highly recommend the Oyster Saloon in Hama Hama. Great for dogs and kids. Also, lots of hiking close by. Cushman Rock is a cool place to visit (beware the bumpy road and potholes if you have a low car). Overall, this is a great stay and the host was fantastic and quick to respond to any questions.

Awesome Christmas Getaway
We had a great time staying at this cabin for Christmas 2022. The house is beautiful and it was cozy and warm when we arrived in the middle of an ice and snow storm. Beds are very comfy and there is plenty of room to spread out or come together for meals and games. We were visited by a lovely family of deer each day. The master bedroom is a welcome sanctuary while hosting family and friends. The kitchen is very well stocked and I was able to make meals easily for our stay. Due to the inclement weather we didnt get to explore the lake or parks. But the house is surrounded by beautiful trees so we still felt surrounded by nature. We will definitely stay again.
