Property was well cared for. The owner was very responsive and helpful. It was the annual fishing trip for my sons and me. This place was perfect for our needs, very clean, and in a beautiful area.
Place was amazingly quiet and peaceful. Great hub for all things Sleeping Bear National Lakeshore! Updated, nice small house and Gary was very attentive as host.
We had the perfect stay! Excellent communication from owner. Easy check in and out. Looks like a new build, very clean, great layout, excellent location, would definitely stay there again! Highly recommend!
We came to visit the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. We brought bikes with us and enjoyed several wonderful days. The cabin is spacious, well-maintained and very comfortable for a family of 4. It is attractive and quiet, a bit off the beaten path but central to the three main park areas. It has a lovely hike on the property.
The location of the house is very close (13 minutes) to Sleeping Bear Dunes. The house owner is responsive. His house is very cute, clean and organized, located in a quiet place. Four of us enjoyed our stay there. Recommend this place.
We found that this property had everything we needed and was conveniently located to enjoy the Sleeping Bear park area. My wife and daughter were completely satisfied with the accommodations. We did some hiking the first day on the owners large property and enjoyed the woods without driving anywhere. Overall, we had a great time in the area and want to return next year.
Gary’s house was exactly as we read. It had everything we needed plus more and clean. Close to everything we planned to do to show our grandson the Dunes. We will be back.
House was very clean and well-maintained, and contained everything needed for an enjoyable stay. Property manager was also very responsive. There is a beautiful trail through the woods on the property in back of the house. Centrally located in an area which allows for day trips to Sleeping Bear Dunes, Traverse City, attractions in the Leelanau Peninsula, etc. Would definitely select this house again when in the area and also recommend it to others!
House was perfect for our week in the Sleeping Bear Dunes area. Quiet and in the woods, but centrally located to all activities. House had soap, paper towels, tissues, beach towels, games. Gary was a good communicator. Would definitely recommend.
Our first time renting and what a great experience. Mostly wooded. Simple, clean, very well stocked with a binder of helpful instructions and recommendations from the host. Everyrhing we wanted to do was just a 10-45 minute drive.Glen Arbor, Empire, Fishtown, Platte River, Sleeping Bear Dunes, Traverse City and a wine tour. Bonus, there's a walking trail behind the cabin.
The entire home is light, bright and airy. Everything was new and fresh. Peaceful, quiet location. Enjoyed inside spaces and outside. There is a trail on the property, and we tried to walk it, but we're not advanced trekkers and couldn't really see the path. Owner let us check in early and offered to let us check out late since it wasn't immediately booked the same day. Extremely generous and welcoming. Would stay again in a heartbeat.
Clean, updated, well equipped. Location was perfect! 20 min to Crystal Lake/Crystal Mntn. 7 min to Empire, 10 min to Glen Lake.
Gary has provisions that Ive had to bring myself in the past…extra TP, papertowel, dish soap, detergent and beach towels.
My only “complaint” is that I wish there were fans to circulate the air a bit, esp at night. But that is truly my preference and only mention it in case someone else is like me and might want to bring a small fan.
We will def be seeking out this property for future trips to the area bc it was PERFECT for our needs!
We had a wonderful stay at this VRBO. Gary is a great host and very good with communication. The house was clean. We enjoyed the peace and quiet of the location. We were able to travel short distances to the things we want to do while we were in the area.
