"The location was perfect. They have jet ski, paddleboards and kayaks on site to rent plus beach chairs and umbrellas. The food at the tiki bar and the Cove were very good and inexpensive considering it was on site. Mixed drinks however, were not that great. Pool facing rooms also allowed you to sit on your balcony to enjoy the music and make your own beverages. The music was a definite plus. Dont miss the sunsets, they are beautiful, and there is a walking path to the Pier that starts close to the property."

"The service at the Opal Sands was top notch! The rooms were spacious and clean. There was also a guest pantry on every floor fully stocked with waters , individual bags of ice, snacks and fresh fruit. Every room really did have a view of the Gulf. SO BEAUTIFUl! My only complaint, beach chairs and umbrellas should have been part of the daily resort fee. While bikes were included, I did not see where to get them but more importantly there really was no where to ride them. The roads were packed with cars. I would HIGHLY recommend staying here and will be DEFINITELY be returning. "

"Staff were exceptional. Having 3nLa Quinta’s on the same street is very confusing. He went to one by mistake and the lobby looked like a lobby for a vet’s office."
