The Homewood area is surprisingly lacking in activities other than hiking. It is also not a great location for food or drinks. If you dont mind driving to other destinations it is a quiet place to stay.

Small getaway
"Nice little getaway for our birthday. The location was great and room was a good size, just the bed was way too soft. My boyfriend usually loves soft beds but said this one was uncomfortable. I love form beds due to my back issues. By other than that, it was a lovely getaway at the hotel."

Beautiful part of the lake; close to Tahoe city which has great shops and dining areas; beautiful area, plenty to do with kids as well in the summer.

This house was close to town where there is fun shopping and restaurants. Lots of great trails nearby! The lake is right across the street.
